Well it's finally happened... a top US fighter has named Anthony Mundine as a potential opponent. We're looking, hypothetically, at Pavlik-Mundine in May. If Tony's manager isn't on the phone to Bob Arum first thing Monday morning US time......... well actually, it wouldn't be all that surprising, would it?

I hope this fight happens. Mundine could actually take this one if he comes into the fight at his best.

i think he will hurt/drop mundine badly with a one two in the first round, and if mundine gets up from that he will go into survival mode from then on, and maybe manage to last 2 or 3, possibly 4 more rounds before he is finished off

yeah, it it was the anthony from 05 or 06 i would give him a chance to simply play survival and go the distance, but this anthony has deteriorated in the reflexes and speed departments and i honestly think pavlik would have no issues hitting him whatsoever...and when he does land, mundine would get hurt, and badly

Mundine would get brutally beaten, in his very short prime he was what I like to call a second rate champ, I.E a world class guy would have beaten him handily, now he is what I like to call a bum.

So basically, what Ult is saying is that I am doing Australian boxing a diservice by:

And the guy asked Brently if he was the greatest boxer that ever lived? Which would only make things that he has been saying okay. Danc,Kostya, you guys just continue to flood threads with ****. One post is enough. Your doing Australian boxing a dis service. And i presume you don't box yourself, because any professional could tell you how annoying this **** is for them. It hurts boxing. So please, just spare everyone the headache. And stop posting. For ****s sake.

Have a look at AA's record, because even though you cream yourself over it, its really horrendous and thats what ya should be upset about. Not this other crap. Grow a pair. I cream myself over AA's record? Where? Show me one post where I have. I recall in the past saying that I wasn't convinced abou Abraham. Ppl on here act like he is clearly the best 160 pounder around and I don't see it. I have said he looks limited and is yet to beat an even near elite fighter. Countless fighters have a better resume than AA, including Mundine.

Who cares what the boxers think? You think I care if Anthony gives a **** about what I, or anyone else on here says? I call it how I see it, that is all. I have criticised Mundine because I think he is ripping ppl off and he knows it. I have criticised Green because all he is trying to do is milk some more money out of the Mudine gravy train. Why should I get in the ring? What possible difference does it make whether or not I fight? I don't fight, but I care about the fate of young fighters in this country and, IMO, what is happening at the moment is hurting and not helping them. I know young fighters down in Melbourne who are training their absolute guts out and fighting as hard as they can and getting paid barely anything whilst Mundine gets ridiculous money for fighting a 36 year old journeyman Welter who hasn't posed a threat to anyone half-decent in years.

If fighters don't want to hear this then too fukn bad. Don't fukn read it. But this is the way it is. Ppl want to know why the sport is struggling to badly here. It is because guys like Katsidis are out there fighting their hearts out in absolute wars and get 20 seconds on Fox News whilst the same TV channel does 5 minute stories for the Mundine-Taylor press conference. Good to see you worked up the Courage. That sounds so lame dude. Seriously if you think the state of Australia Boxing is good then you are in need of help. I love the fight game, but it's not the same in this Country as it once was.

Honestly Ult (deny it all you like) Mundine had the chance to be a fighter and he decided against it. All of the cussing of Mundine has been totally brought upon by himself. He had an appreciation of his talent on this forum after the Green fight, but since he has taken us fans on a ride of deceit. If you can't see that then just have a look at who he has fought since Danny Green. He might tell us he is the greatest Middleweight but he wont show it to us. When he does and wins I will apologise to you personally, but I know that day will never come.

Fark hope he does get a fight with either Pavlik or Sturm win or lose at least then he should be given some respect.
