if it is the one that mel gibson directed.. he has been getting trash talkin on his film too!

i'm going to go see it tonight with a girly. i think its getting the bad reviews because its religion, and i heard it plays into the politics of it all a little bit. I saw an interview with Mel Gibson last night and that was what I got out of it. This movie looks way better than anything else thats out right now. And Mel is the ****. Hes always been an awesome actor, played some of the best parts in films... I'll trust Mel Gibson over a bunch of tree huggin ******s that are'nt watching it because of the picture that this film portrays.............. religion.

i'll let you know how it is. if you're not talkin about Mel Gibson's movie... then **** YOU.

Apparently, this film focuses on Jesus' last hours. I read in Rottentomatoes that is very realistic as far as portraying all the tortures he suffered before being crucified.

Like my boy Blue said: Not my cup of tea.

I am definitely going to be seeing this movie. I was watching a piece on it last night on Entertainment Weekly, right before Friends came on (yes you ****ing ******s, the show's about to end after 10 years and I cannot die peacefully without knowing what happens with Ross and Rachel)... and they were going over what they did to film the scenes and ****. They were talking about whips crackin and flesh chunks flying off the body, real blood droplets being filmed to insert into the shot and ****... really gruesome sounding stuff. Anyone who misses this movie will no doubt be missing out on one of the more talked-about features of our time.

Jennifer Aniston makes up a full half of every single fantasy I've ever had. Ever since I started watching this show, I've wondered how I went this long without watching it.

Then I remember "Oh yeah... MMA Boards..."

Talked to my sister-in-law last night and she took a non believer friend with her. Her friend is now on the verge of being a believer along with her teenage son. Hubby and I are taking the kids when his 12 hour/6 days a week shifts are done.

From what I understand of the film:

1) Its extremely gorey. Wade Rome says its the most horrific gory movie he has ever seen

2) its extremely religious

3) its anti-jew (Mel Gibson is part of a small group of catholics that still think the jews killed jesus and should be punished for it)

A friend of mine is going to see the movie ONLY because it shows jesus being grusomely tortured for over an hour.

It's not anti-jew at all. It just tells the story the way it was written. This happened thousands of years ago, so anyone who hates jews after watching it is very dumb. Jesus did not hate them for it, so why should his followers hate jews...

As for Mel, I don't know the guy personally......

The man is part of a small group of catholics that believe the jews killed jesus. they also believe that they should be punished for it.

from what i understand of it he was trying to make this movie a vehicle to further propogate his beliefs

The movie was real good. Really well made. The flashbacks to happier times were a nice touch. The scene where he's building the table and joking with his mom was one of my favorites. I was quiet after watching it. I thought about all night and into the next day. I'm still thinking about it.

The movie follows what is in the bible, so yeah the jews asked for Jesus to be cruicified and the Romans not wanting any riots gave the people a choice. Free Jesus or Barabas(a known murderer). The jews freed Barabas and Jesus got crucified for nothing. Should we in this day and age hate jews? Absolutely not. Jesus isn't about hate....So like I said, anyone who hates jews after watching this movie is dumb.

you're ****ing ignorant.

first you go off on your "understanding" of the movie and go as far to call it "anti-jew" and saying that you're friend is going to go see it ONLY to see Jesus get grusomely tortured for over an hour as if its something spectacular and glamorous. No wonder why you would think people are anti-jew... look at whos talkin.

Before you go acting too smart for the rest of us, realize that the movie is based on the bible, not beliefs of one man. The Jews wanted Jesus crucified, with or without the movie.... almost everybody knows that. Weird why the Jews are the "chosen" people, but they are. It falls back on Jesus and he is'nt about hate, yet understanding. You go off about an understanding that you have no realization about. To understand something is to know it and get the jist of it all, understanding is not based on opinions and what others said or some make belief thought that was'nt fully thought through.

you = stupid. PERIOD.
