Which do you prefer? Personally I don't care what you did in the streets. You obviously not going hard enough if you are in the rap game currently. Why is it important?

View Full Version : [PLEASE HELP] Street cred or quality of music? Kobe Bryant 02-19-2009, 10:50 AM Which do you prefer? Personally I don't care what you did in the streets. You obviously not going hard enough if you are in the rap game currently. Why is it important? Technical_Skill 02-19-2009, 10:58 AM U need to look at the bit where I said Skilled Mc's as well as real N.iggaz. Rap is and always has been a message tho, it used to contain social and political experiences of young black men in a post civil rights America. Now its about rims and booty. I like the message. Which is why i like Skilled MC's dropping lyrics, or Real N.iggaz telling real stories. Hope you understand this now. Laters. Derranged 02-19-2009, 11:26 AM Quality of music of course. The whole point of listening to music is entertainment. What a rapper does on his or her own time is none of my concern. If you cant rap for ****, why would one want to be bothered listening? Floyd Sinclair 02-19-2009, 11:36 AM for me at the end of the day its all bout the music b 50's is snitch...50 is this, 50 is that who the **** cares doggie? He makes good music. At the same time i gotta say if you told me Styles P grew up in Farmington, CT that would be in the back of my head when I hear him talkin about spillin guts and cappin fools. And its not like he did that growin up in Yonkers, but at least...well, yall see what im saying. Yonkers and Farmington...big difference. Truth 02-19-2009, 11:57 AM quality music is more important.....its cool though when someone has some sort of past to back up they are saying. musically it doesn't matter, but I don't know, its hard to explain. Walt Liquor 02-19-2009, 01:55 PM quality music is more important.....its cool though when someone has some sort of past to back up they are saying. musically it doesn't matter, but I don't know, its hard to explain. Quality is most important but right behind that is fakeness/realness. 50 is a snitch then stop rapping about robbing people and being a gangster. He can rap about getting shot though! What I'm saying is don't be a rich kid (like Bow Wow or Ray J) and try and come across gangster. Stick to what you know about like Bow wow usually does. |
