View Full Version : What options does Chad Dawson have? damian5000 02-17-2009, 01:13 PM He's fighting Tarver again, but what else is out there for him? Woods? Infern0 02-17-2009, 07:19 PM Yeah but he should take it cos he will win, Dawson is an over-rated bum! ALT=_=Assassin 02-17-2009, 07:31 PM Yeah but he should take it cos he will win, Dawson is an over-rated bum! He is overrated but I wouldn't call him a bum. Clegg 02-17-2009, 07:33 PM Woods, Cloud, Diaconu and Mack are all pretty good and would put up a good fight. Johnson is the fight that makes the most sense though, as he is probably better than those guys, and the interest in there from boxing fans who saw their first fight and want to see them go at it again. Shumenov and Cleverly are looking good, but need a least a year or two before they are ready IMO. I'd like to see him face Garay, the Argentinian who holds the WBA title. He has zero profile in America, but as he's fought in Europe before I'm sure he'd be willing to go to the states. The fact that no one in the US knows who he is means that the fight won't make financial sense to either guy, and so I doubt that it'll happen. So I guess Johnson, then the winner of Cloud vs Woods would be the logical path to take. slicksouthpaw16 02-18-2009, 09:57 PM I want to see him fight every title holder at light heavyweight until some of the stars at super middleweight either out grow the division or come up to fight him, because that's really the only way he can get in those big money fights. Another option that i was going over with a few people is that he could meet Adamek at a catch weight and make a rematch happen. |
