Hopkins is actually a bad stylistic match-up for Louis on paper. Louis never did as well against movers and it's no secret that he was open for counter right hands but I just cannot see Hopkins overcoming the size difference.

Louis would be forced to adapt though after being possibly outpointed during the first couple of rounds.

Light heavyweight champ Billy Conn put up a great effort against Louis but it's often exaggerated since Louis could've still won a decision even if it had gone the distance.

I love what you did there Manmachine. I could watch this all day.

** Popkins a bad stylistic matchup against anyone with offensive capabilities because his defense makes unbelievably boring fights.

Speculated that Louis overtrained for the Conn bout, trying to get his weight down so he wouldn't look like a bully, thus having an off night. I've seen comments and clips that would support that and his weight was down for the 1st bout. At any rate, Joe settled any controversies in spades against any unfortunates needing rematches, so it wouldn't surprise me to see Popkins being one of those poor unfortunates.

Can't thank you enough for all the Louis footage you've provided. Joe's relaxed style and exquisite timing probably makes the best all time KO compilation list of any fighter ever. Helps to have a lotta of willing supporting actors giving their all.

My original idea was to show all the KO's in slow motion (thus the slow-paced music) but I noticed that the video would go on far too long in that case so I decided to leave some of the KO's in slow motion, some in real time.

At that point I had already made the whole video and didn't really care to find other music to use. I wish I had the time and the patience and most of all the ability to make an even better one...
