I've never been able to get into his music. He sounds like a terrible lyricist and some of his beats are trash. His voice is terrible....Young Jeezy is ass.

I agree...Overall, no team can match up with them. Incredible talent...

Bernard King, Starbury, Ewing, Reed, Frazier, Earl the Pearl, Oakley, Zach Randolph....greatest team ever. And i didnt even mention John Starks, Allan Houston, and Latrell Sprewell.

Let me say this, these cats repping the south are *******,

If you want the real south gangster rap you can find it, and its far more real than some of these fake new york cats that be eating shrimp then talking about living in the hood.

C Murder (about to have a re trial for murder, apparently could be doing life without parole)

Soulja Slim (RIP)

Mac (Doing 30 years in jail)

B.Gizzle.

Im from the UK, but these are real n.iggaz, none of that watered down fake blood whezzy ****.

New York is well know for being repped by a few *******, like i said Rakim and them kind of lyricists, thats legendary.

But NY got ******* like Yayo and 50 repping them and all these other fake ass n.igga -studio gangsters.

This is a real down south rapper, C Murder, one of the few rappers who can actually walk into a hood without bodyguards.

6. Devin the Dude(rapper and singer)
7. Scarface and Willy D from the Geto Boys
8. Juve
9. Dirty Boys
10. K-rino
11. The Last Mr. Bigg
12. Rick Ross can be good when he wants to.(Trilla was wacker than POM, but it was better lyrically)
13. Trick Daddy
14. KB da Kidnappa

let me just say this, all I used to listen to was "real" hip-hop. There was some good music back in the days and also from 97-2003(especially underground hiphop in those years). Then Mos Def and Kweli started making some wack music and NY hasnt had a new good rapper in years. NY needs another Big right now and I aint talkin about Gravy. NY music now a days is stagnated its not even funny. I got a dude I go to school with from Boston, a pr cat, and he tells me how southern rap is wack and so is Bun B. We argue all the time, but I ask him "Who is that new NY rapper thats hot? I mean at least the West Coast has Game in the last few years, but what about the East Coast?" All he can say is True Life and Joel Ortiz(he is good tho). Your rappers are even trying to be like southern rappers. Its true.

It's so funny that these NY cats/eastcoast rap lovers can't stand that the South is running **** for a while now. It's ok that the east and west's time is over for the minute, don't worry it should come back around but if it doesn't I won't lose any sleep. Thing's usually go full circle. Blues started in the south, then NY originated rap which came from the blues, then the West put their twist on it, and now it's back in the south where it belongs.

Lol@ that DMX 'Freestyle', I highly doubt he made that up on the spot, but yeah, he rapped real fast and rhymed "Box" with "Glocks", he's stepping his game up. :ugh:

If you love NY, why dont you rep real Mc's like Big L, Wu, Biggie, Jigga, not some bloke who raps about giving a dog a home, then leaving a dog alone.

X is a real nice mc...apparently you didnt listen to that much of the song, and besides jay-z and biggie how many emcees go off the top of the dome? Big L too, but even he wrote alotta his ****. I listen to all those rappers but DMX is my favorite. I dont know how you can say that he wasnt lyrical. Im not gonna try to argue about now, but up until his 4th cd he could rhyme. It's not that they were ready for a change, it was rather that Southern Rappers could make songs with mindless hooks and weak lyrics better than NY could do it, so the South just took what New York was doing to the extreme and the fans went with them.

Rakim is rap. Lil Wayne is not.

Rakim, Nas, KRS-One

Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy is not rap.

Gotta agree here.

Souljah Boy, who himself is no authority on rap music, tried to say that Nas killed hip hop but at the same time that Lil' Wayne was the best rapper alive. Tell me why Nas killed rap but rap died when all of the focus switched to the south?

That wack ass Rocko tried to steal Talib Kweli's hook on "Get By" on "Dis Morning" and just made himself look like a bi-ch in the process.

Gucci Mane, Paul Wall, Lil' Boosie these guys just have no lyrical ability. How would they be able to handle themselves in a battle with Jay-Z or Nas? They'd be getting played and they'd respond "kjbvkjbvkbvlkfvjblkjv" or "i-n-d-e-p-e-n-d-e-n-t".

Southern rap has just made it too easy to be a rapper. All you need to be a southern rapper is a fourth grade education, a speech impediment and a lack of priority.

Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy is not rap.

that generalization is inaccurate.

Outkast. Scarface. Nappy Roots. Goodie Mob.

just to name a few, certainly did not ruin rap.

rap is not ruined. that's ignorant. real rap can never be ruined because if it's **** then it's not true rap anyways. can't taint what doesn't belong in the same category. as long as real hip hop is still being made then no one can **** it up. and even when it stops it'll always be banged regardless so the argument isn't valid either way.

that generalization is inaccurate.

Outkast.

That's the realest **** I've heard on here so far!

with all due respect to ya limey, but if you ain't even from the states who are you to even speak on it? because fo sho uk rap is not even in contention to be considered, I ain't especially fond of the main stream south s#it either, but the weakest that they have to offer is still a century ahead of you dudes, Slick Rick is the best that yall ever gonna have to do this, east coast, west coast, south yeah we might disagree about who should get the ball, but one thing we do sync on is that we don't ever want to see yall in the game,,,,,,,,I might talk grimey to my lil brother but you better not say s#it 2 em.

Hip Hop is universal and can be appreciated and discussed by any nationality or culture. Just because that person isn't from the US doesn't mean they lack the knowledge to comment on rap music.

Your alt is a bit lame already.:peeright:
