Man I need Alexi to get his head out of his ass. Don't have too much beef with anyone else for the moment. I was hoping Lowrie would play better too but he was just a pickup. I think Lind will prove to be a good addition to my team. There is a serious lack of credible IF on the waiver wire.....although I'm watching someone very closely, like a few others probably are too....Not quite ready to pull the trigger tho.....I'm going to give Lowrie until the end of the weekend and also see if the guy I have my eye on does anything. Danks and Carp sure did you right today Gringo. Just when I was thinking that even tho my pitching hasn't been too good overall, I might have a shot a winning a couple of categories.....You get 2 very QS and a win from those guys. Still alot of ball to be played tho this week.....I'm hoping my team doesn't let me down and make me look like a chump.....

my staff is money. if your #1, #2 guys can suck it up and your 3, 4, 5 guys pick it up......you know you got gold. i LOVE my closers. broxton will be a top 30 player at the end of the year. 35 saves and 90+ K's. i done told ya'll chris caprenter is reverting to cy young form. i love getting a top 20 value in the 15th+ round.

I sent you a big trade. It's not pretty looking at it ranks-wise. On paper it looks like it's in my favor. It upgrades your pitching BIG TIME though...especially if Carpenter is going to do what I think he's going to do this year. Gives you more infield depth as well (a little more). I figure you have so many outfielders (Hawpe, Nady) that losing Markakis won't kill you.

It's a 10 player deal so that might be too many or something. I totally understand you turning it down should you decline it. I could offer Shields/Chamberlain in there instead of Carpenter, but I figure Chris has the most upside if he's "on". He's a #1, cy-young caliber pitcher if he's healthy.

So yeah, think about it.

He has a good squad. My pitching > his though. His outfield is UNFAIR however. He has been high on that Nelson Cruz cat since last year and he made a point of drafting him in every league he's in. Looks like he was right about that one.

I think he has the best offense in the league overall. His infield really isn't that weak. If Tulowitzki steps his game up to what it was two years ago that is especially true. Joey Votto is going to hit .300+ w/ 100+ RBI and 25+ home runs, Pena is a home run machine, Sandoval was the best value on a catcher in the league, he has Soto waiting in the wings at C, Utley is a stud and Hank Blalock was actually a top 3B once upon a time. Anybody hitting in that Rangers lineup has a ton of value...that offense is nasty.

I'm going to rip him a new one this week though. My offense needs to get it going at some point. Prince Fielder was robbed of a grand salami last night that would have gotten me another point against Saad.

He jumped aboard the Bonifacio train. Yahoo projections:

PLAYER TEAM POS Y!RK Y!%

Emilio Bonifacio FLA 3B, 2B 1 78

Market Value: Strong Speed Buy (all formats)

Lowdown: The relatively unknown third basemen with a name akin to an Hispanic soap opera character has roared out of the gates going 8-for-14 with an inside-the-park homer, triple, six runs and a pair of fours in RBIs and steals. Based on his groundhog-beheading peripherals (career 55.4 GB%), blazing speed and versatility, he’s essentially Chone Figgins. But due to his historical high whiff output (career 24.8 K%) and questionable OBP totals (.314), a BA near .270 should be expected. His Barracuda-like speed is very real – scouts once clocked his home-to-first time at 3.6 seconds – but unless he develops into a more patient hitter, epic droughts are bound to occur.
Fearless Forecast: 588 at-bats, .271 BA, 2 HR, 42 RBI, 91 R, 42 SB

If he ends up with numbers even close to that the trade would be good both ways as Trojans wasn't even starting Ibanez. Trojans rides streaks and goes with who he thinks is hot. He reached out to me, said he wanted some Bonifacio in his life, I made it happen.

He will lose the leadoff spot to Maybin within 2-3 weeks, will get dropped to 8th in the order and will fall off the fantasy map.

You don't need to defend it, it's a shame he doesn't post here though so I can't rip him for it as the season progresses.

Here is my fearless forecast for Bonifacio.

Season Avg: Below .250
Runs scored: 70-75
SB: 25

He will lose the leadoff spot to Maybin within 2-3 weeks, will get dropped to 8th in the order and will fall off the fantasy map.

kinda like your boy lastings milledge huh?

haha well i gave you my spin on it anyway.

i guarantee you he steals more than 25 bases this year. maybin doesn't get on base nearly enough to warrant taking over the leadoff spot. he also strikes out more than adam dunn. it is bonifacios spot to lose...and barring one of those prolonged epic droughts he won't lose it.

Hi guys,

Just got here,

My team is:

Reyes, Luis Castillo, Hanley Ramirez, Pujols, Andruw Jones, Soto, Fukodame, Miguel Cabrera. Rotation: Beckett, Josh Johnson, Braden Looper, Anibal Sanchez and CC Sabathia.

I'm a Marlins fan and am very impressed with Bonaficio, might put him in. I knew Josh Johnson was a beast. :)

Oh yeah I expect them too as well. Just like I expect Milledge to turn it around.

My point is simply that if you're gonna have a guy batting below .200 early in the season it's better if it's your 9th round pick than your 1st rounder.

I'm surprised the most recent trade offer wasnt veoted like the first one. The first one was actually more fair in my opinion.

Trojans got taken for a ride by Gringo. Essentially he traded Ankiel for Ibanez as Bonifacio will be batting below .250 and will get dropped within a month.

Dunno....I think Bonny is going to continue to play at a fairly high level throughout the season.....I guess time will tell.

Congrats on getting married Treez....

Sonny I know you were kidding but Gringo and I have pulled off at least one blockbuster each my first two seasons and will pull off another before the deadline this year I'm sure. He knows how to tempt me but I'm sure he'll vouch that I counter and shit all the time, I'm no easy target. I also think that Gringo and I are 1-1 as far as who got the best of our really big trades.....You never know whats going to happen injuries andsuch can really change things but of course I know you are perfectly aware of all these things.

I think I'm going to try and work an offer with one of the new members of our league.....a real offer not the kind we were throwing at each other during spring training.....

Yeah I"d say we're 1-1 with our big time deals. I go in to a trade knowing I might get lucky or I might get ****ed so that's never an issue. Remember when I traded Maine, Pedroia and Okajima for BJ Upton last year? That was with Jefe. Yeah that one hurt. Upton was less than stellar most the year and Pedroia was AL MVP. Plus I lost two solid pitchers. You definitely aren't a sucker for trades Saad. Just look at your work in hoops this year.

Bonifacio could end up being a monster. Anybody see his highlights tonight? That ****er is faster than hell on the bases. He beats out infield singles that nobody else could. Kinda like a prime Ichiro.

Honestly if I had Chamberlain on my squad I would be a bit apprehensive. The Yankess bullpen is mostly unproven aside from Rivera. Pretty much all of them average 4-6 BB/9 innings. If they start blowing leads before they can get the ball to Rivera the quick and easy fix will be to move Hughes into the rotation and put Joba back into the bullpen.

Chamberlain is already off on the wrong foot with his DUI case.

In unrelated news The Nationals named Milledge their leadoff hitter today. Bump his steals up to 35+ and his runs scored to 85+.

The Nats demoted Milledge to Triple-A on Tuesday, XM Satellite Radio reports.

Recommendation: Sure, Milledge has started poorly this year, but this strikes us as an extreme overreaction here. Elijah Dukes should get more playing time as a result.

Jesus Treez, I'm looking at your team and YOU SHOULD BE MAKING SOME SERIOUS MOVES my friend.

You have a good squad but it could be so much better. You have a ton of offensive depth that could be shipped around our league for pitching. Right now you have Pudge, Damon, Fukudome, Tejada, Delgado and Kouzmanoff on your bench. You should be offering trades to:

RAES (needs infield depth - Tejada/Delgado)
14-K (Has tons of pitching)
Juice (needs OF...haha)
Titus (loaded with SP's)

You have a nice start with 3 closers and 4 competent starters, you just need that 5/6 starter to shore it up.

Probably not, but it might better for my team. If they kept him I would probably keep him in the lineup and live with his terrible numbers. This way he can play himself of it and when he comes back hopefully he doesn't strike out every other at bat.

It just goes to show what a joke the Nationals are, Milledge was basically demoted by the GM against the Managers wishes. Acta wont even make a public comment about it.

Either way I sure as hell am not gonna drop him. As for Carpenter LaRussa seems to be under the impression the injury is more serious than it sounds.

Chances are Milledge will return to the lineup before Carpenter.

Fielder, Braun and Hart are all batting .250 or under... Hardy and Kendall are under .150..

If the guys that are supposed to hit pick it up and Weeks and Cameron have career years this team could be the Rangers of the NL.

Lol, Yanks give up 14 runs on 13 hits including 5 2B and 3 HR in the 2nd inning.

F*ck the Yankees and lol at their fans paying 2 G's to see these bums massacred.

Chin Ming Wang is done for. Possibly the worst start in the history of baseball.

Going to be 0-3 with 6 IP 23 Hits Allowed 23 Earned Runs Allowed 6 BB 2 K's.

34.50 ERA 4.83 WHIP

I'd cry if I had him on my team. His performances would kill your pitching two weeks in a row now. Oh LEfty has him....poor lefty.

So far all of my matchup predictions look like they're right, although every match is close besides Pullo/Roids.

Tim Lincecum is going to strike out 12-14 batters in this game. Already has 8 through 4 innings. Carpenter was only a small piece of the puzzle.

My boy Chris Young is probably good for one or two more.

Make that 16-2 Cleveland. Yanks getting spanked.

DeRosa was a snag. Plays 2b, 3b, IF, OF and UTIL and has been hot ever since I picked him up.

Jesus, the Indians now have the bases loaded with nobody out.

This may end up being the biggest loss in Yankee history.

We may see Swisher on the hill again.

Zach Greinke has had 3 of those in a row, someone give the kid a Cy Young Award right now.

3-0 20 IP
0.00 ERA
26 K 5 BB

Will he ever give up a run?

Anybody watching the pitching duel between 14-K and I? Good thing that dumbass didn't start Greinke. I guess he was facing the Rangers though.

Anybody watching A-Roids getting skunked largely in part to leaving Wladimir Guerrero in the lineup ahead of Dukes and Victorino despite the fact that he is on the disabled list?

On Thursday Dukes and Laroche werent in the lineup despite open roster slots and combined for 2 2B and a homer.

Tuesday Adam Jones was benched for no apparent reason and responded with a game winning 2 run homer.

Man Gringy, those numbers you are putting up this week are unbeatable! I feel very inadequate after taking a look at your team today...:notworthy

Ok, the stat tracker must of been messed up last night because your numbers are a lot less today. You guys are neck and neck but you both still have great numbers...

Dont worry, everyone should get a 15-0 week against A-Roids if he benches 3 guys every day of the week.

Yeah ****ing Jefe needs to stay up with his shit...I know he says he does but I also know he's a ****ing liar....Jefe play full or stop entering the league. You're literally the only one that doesn't check his team daily.

****...Incu good game but I can't help but feel like I was ****ed with no Vaseline....close game way around up until sunday. I' not liking the 5 a week waiver limit....mostly because I haven't been using it efficiently......I'll be back and hanging aroud until the end is all I gotta say to you doubters out there and cats on top overlooking me.

Haha...I haven't been either. It does add another element of strategy though and I think it's good for the waiver wire/FA pool. I have been making my 5 adds by mid-week every week so far.

7-7 and I would have murdered ANYONE else this week. :grumpy: I'm pullin out the grump face on this one.

I guess Carpenter getting hurt DID mess with me. He was well on his way to another 5-6K, 0 ER, quality start win. I may have won 8-6 at the very least. Dropping Yadier hurt too. I would have won doubles.

Some quick commentary/statements:

-Saad I don't mean to be a dick, but you might be in the cellar with Jefe after next week. You gotta play 14-K....not good for you.

-Andre Ethier - 80 runs, 25 HR, 100RBI, .300 average this year. That cleanup spot behind Manny is going to be sweet.

-Nice job by Sonny this week! The clean sweep always feels good.

-Fix, nice pickup w/ Andrus. He was on my watch list since day 1.

-This is going to be a very competitive league.

-Ian Kinsler may be the best player in fantasy this year if he stays healthy...him or Chase Utley....or Emilio Bonifacio.
