Why isnt their any UFC events in new york, whats the reason for this????

Commissions. I have no idea why there aren't many in New York. All I can say is that the UFC is the biggest organization in the business and when they roll into town there are a lot of regulations to be met.

Yeah problem is we have to deal with dinosaurs on the commission that are not willing to still regulate MMA in this day an age.


It really is amazing they can get away with this. You have to give MMA credit....they have had every blockage in the road in getting this sport mainstream and still continue to. Its really amazing how close minded people are.....

yeah some of the NY Times and other articles that bash MMA, really seem very un educated and lacking even a basic knowledge of the sport

Im only paraphrasing what I've read in articles, but the anti-MMA articles have some truth to them yet they take the negatives of the sport to the extreme

like for example saying the "sole purpose of MMA is to bash and hurt your opponent" which is basically ignoring the fact that winning by decision happens in the sport

and kind of taking it back to that "MMA=human ****fighting" stance

I'll try to find an article but you guys kinda get the idea. They'll take truths of MMA and exaggerate them to the fullest to discredit or bash the sport.
