I heard this on the radio on one of the black stations this morning:

"Them some of the stupidest peoples man, they be all like condricting and stuff to themselves, aint that right?"

I had to change the channel, couldn't handle their grammar since all of them obviously didn't even go to high school to learn English. But maybe that's the "black culture" that most of you are defending in the other thread.

Mr. Beelzebub
02-11-2004, 12:39 PM
I don't think anybody is defending it, what they're saying is that they have the right to express their culture, remember their roots if they feel to just like any other culture or ethnic group. (or worship or choose not to whatever that **** they want)

Funny thing is they didn't start using all their money til the kid started mentioning it. Then the uncles got around to thinking it would piss off their relatives. Wish, I can do that to some of my relatives.

haha, yea...it was a bit much when the Shieks grandson came down and pointed out the yacht sitting in the pond. no way in hell would a yacht fit in that tiny ass pond.

I thought that was a river. Hell, if it was a pond before. With all that money. They could have made a new river. When you think about it gold grows in value over the years.

nah it was a pond. may said 'oh they're out there by that pond' in the beginning when she first takes him there. so let me get this straight...the shiek gave them 10 grand in gold...so what did they do? just cash it in? how exactly did they get all that $$??

agfa
02-11-2004, 04:31 PM
Well, you get taxed for any currency your claiming even though. But, remember the shiek just kept giving his brother bags and bags of gold. One gold coin can equal 100 to 1000 dollars depending on density.

It wasn't ten grand. I figure they got a few million. Those were pretty big satchels not no small coin purse. Plus, I don't think the money they had in that barn was all of it. I think that was just spending money. If they were smart they would have kept it in the bank and just let it lie there. Let it collect interest upon interest. Member gold gains value over years depending on the economy. So, a bank would have to pay the interest for what the gold would be worth on a particular month or year.

but i thought that when his brother was telling him the story he said that the Shiek offered a 10,000 dollar reward for him?

He did, but when the sheik finally thought he had captured him. He went overboard and started just dishing out bags upon bags of gold.

ahhhhhhhhhhhh i think i missed this part...lol

i watched Legally Blonde 1 and 2 last night..doubt you all want to hear bout that tho =P

getting some friends together tomorrow night so im trying to think of a good movie to get...

agfa
02-12-2004, 12:33 PM
Uugh, man legally blonde 2 was a really bad movie. They were jut tyring to rehash everything from the first movie. You can only take a movie so far without any new material. Same premise not even a glint of laughter on my part. I had to endear this movie thanks to my fiance.

As far as a good movie... I guess it depends on the company's mood. I'am not sure but I think Kill Bill should be on the rental store tommorow.

Exotica
02-12-2004, 12:38 PM
it was an ok movie. it was cute...i didn't think much about it. watched it w/my mom...she'd been wanting to see it forever. i like Reese Witherspoon tho...i think shes precious. lol

id love to see Kill Bill...only problem is we have to wait a week after a new movie comes out b4 we can get it so imma have to wait a little while. I'm thinking about getting How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days and either SWAT Out of Time or Once Upon a Time in Mexico

agfa

Once upon a time in Mexico is good. Had to watch how to lose a guy in ten days. It was bearable so it was okay. Swat was definitely good. If you want to watch another chick flick movie. Britanny Murphy's Uptown Girl is pretty good.

Exotica
02-12-2004, 12:56 PM
yea i watched Uptown Girls the other day...it was a cute movie. Do you have to see Desperado to get the point in Once Upon a Time since its a sequel?

Nuno
02-12-2004, 01:08 PM
No, Once Upon a Time in Mexico is a tottaly different story. You don't need to see Desperado first, but Desperado is a good movie so pick it up anyway.

agfa
02-12-2004, 01:10 PM
No, not really. The movie basically give you a synopsis of el mariachi.

Exotica
02-12-2004, 01:14 PM
so el mariachi, desperado, and once upon a time is a trilogy but u dont have to watch them in sequence? very odd. we didn't get el mariachi in the states did we? thought they only made a spanish version

You can rent it if you want. Well, the story is really focused on Antonio's character and his exploits. The whole point for us guys why we like his character so much is because you don't really wanna **** with a guy that has a big ass gun. Plus his style for kiling people.

You can't also forget Selma Hayek is something to be truly desired. Thats for any skinny ass women out there. Ladies need to eat some ham hocks.
