OUT OF THESE, who do you think reigns supreme. I give my nod to Jay-Z he's very fluid with his words and versatile when need me.

......Nas. He's just the style of rapper I seem to most appreciate.

2pac=biggest impact on Hip Hop
Eminem=very sick skillwise
Jay-Z=overrated, IMO, but has released quality material up until The Black Album
Nas=most consistant, most meaningful catalog
Biggie=lost potential, could have been as great as some rate him.

I think it's a tie between Nas and Pac. Nas was more lyrical but Pac was more crossover and had more of a live energy.

Pac...hands down...

I voted for 2Pac because he is my favorite rapper. However it’s reasonable to accept any one of those artists as someone’s number one pick.

cosign. they all got hits, anhey all got different styles, so its hard to compare who's "better." i guess it depends on what you like......

to me, pac just had the smoothest flow i ever heard.......his **** came from the heart too, its like you feel the **** he's spittin while he's rapping.

hard to find a ****ty pac song.

My vote would go to Pac as far as impact but pure lyrical skills I don't see anyone matching up with Em.

so far this poll proves my point that no matter who you add in, it always comes down to 2pac, nas, and rakim. I know Rakims not in this poll, but in my poll he was and he tied Pac with 11 votes.

It doesnt matter if you throw in eminem, jay-z, biggie, ice cube, rass kass or whoever. Its just a waste of time because they wont win.

eminem really? smh

His Lyrical ability is on par with them, but the overall content isn't and that is why my vote goes to Nas.

skillwise, none of them has anyhting on eminem and you know it. he crushes them all lyrically. he is my pick.

Pac is the best hands down

my vote goes to pac because of his impact and im rating nas higher than big because of longevity and eminem has skills but his sings is either comical or about his momma and jay because of all the biggie biting.

Eminem's only good albums were Infinite and The Marshall Mathers LP. I liked Proof though. He had a lot of potential.

I would take Eminem in a battle but as far as everything else is concerned he is last on the list.

The other four have made some very good and classic albums. All are very good artists but in terms of who I would listen to over the other my list is below.

1. Pac
2. Jay-z
3 Biggie
4. Nas

By no means do I think Pac and Jay-z are lyrically better than BIG an Nas but in terms of being able to throw a cd in and jam anywhere I would pick a Pac or Jay-z cd over a BIG or Nas cd.

Damn, no votes for Eminem? That's crazy.

there is nothing CRAZY about that.
he should not even be grouped with the others mentioned, in my opinion. your thread is "Who's a better rapper OVERALL" key word being...OVERALL.

i disagree

Compare his best tracks with any of those rappers greatest and you will see for yourself. He may not have classic albums like those rappers but at his full potential he can hang with the best of them. It isn't just my opinion, artist not just fans rank Em up there. To be honest he has come out with some very commercialized **** in his career but some of his tracks are classics. Em held his own on a track with Biggie and Jay-z, two of the best.

These arn't even his best tracks but they prove his Lyrics and flow are on par with the legends of the rap game. It's your opinion and I respect that either way he is still a great Emcee.

I agree with you on that one.... He has too many corny lolipop songs on his Cds and that's what stops most of his albums if not all of them from being classics.

Depends on what you're looking at.

As far as success is concerned, Jay all the way.

Jay is up there lyrically (though Eminem murdered him on his own track lol).

It really comes down to personal favs at the end of the day. I like each one of those guys for different reasons

Big is the best "pure rapper" on that list, Nas is the person on that list that is highest on my "greatest Emcee" list.

In other words, Big was best at just ripping a track, but Nas I would argue brought the most to the Hip Hop game.

2 Pac and Jay Z did the most to advance Hip Hop commercially

Eminem is just corny.

again, eminem is the best lyricist on that list. he killed jay on renegades. he has a better flow than jay z and biggie. he kills nas, eminem has serious songs and he would destroy them all in a battle. listen to love me off of his 8 mile soundtrack, mosh, renegades, one day at a time, rock bottom, the way i am, till i collapse, soldier, sing for the moment, 313, jealousy woes, all those, serious songs, and listen to his collabortations on other rappers songs, he killed them all on their own tracks. the game, 50 cent, jay z, biggie, and more. biased opinions on this forum kills me. em is the greatest rapper alive. he won an oscar, many grammys, and more. lose yourself is an epic song. stan is an epic song, eminem is the truth. face it. he sold the most albums out of any rapper out there, deal with it, but he is also very lyrical and very brilliant with his rhyme schemes and delivery and content.

It's all the matter of opinions. Legends like Rakim,Nas and Jay Z respect him, that's all that matters. You do overate him but there are plenty who say he has no skills and isn't even top 100 emcee of all time.
