HockeyFighter 02-05-2004, 11:19 PM Oh god. ****. I can't even ****ign stand up to go have a shower. Goddamn. ****. wondermut 02-05-2004, 11:34 PM Good for you...i miss those days Curly Howard 02-05-2004, 11:36 PM no you don't wondermut 02-05-2004, 11:44 PM well....part of me does. realkaps 02-05-2004, 11:45 PM I want those days..... Fallout 02-05-2004, 11:46 PM I remember my first class. My legs were like cooked pasta afterwards. I didn't strech enough afterwards ethier and I could barely walk the next day HockeyFighter 02-05-2004, 11:47 PM Mad ****ing armbars. Wtf was some of that ****? Did like 43942 variations of an armbar from mad different positions. I only got tapped twice in 20 minutes of sparring and that was because I didn't want to be in the position I was in. The dude was trying for kimuras but wasn't strong enough to put one on all the way. Almost had an armbar of my own on someone but I was using about 20 percent strength because I wasn't about to hurt someone on my first day. My best moment was reversing one of the better dudes. I can't ****ing remember what he was doing but he was doing something and I swept somehow and ended in sidemount. He seemed fairly impressed by it but I just wish I remember what the **** I did. The instructor seemed mad cool and said alot of cool **** that made me think he is a good guy to learn from. He kept stressing position before submission which might be basic but it's probably the most important thing ever. He came and talked with me a bit after class about what he tries to stress in class. Mad cool. Zen 02-05-2004, 11:48 PM When I first started training I would throw up all the time. I loved it cause I knew I was pushing myself. Zen 02-05-2004, 11:49 PM Where are you training? HockeyFighter 02-05-2004, 11:50 PM Canadian Mixed Martial Arts Center Zen 02-05-2004, 11:52 PM Are you gonna train standup or just focus on grappling for now? Who's your instuctor? Good luck! HockeyFighter 02-05-2004, 11:55 PM Creed just reminded me of something. The dude that tapped me went for an ankle lock at one point. He went down to try to secure it, I popped up and went into his guard then passed and almost got mount. He turned and I tried an armbar. He defended and swept me but I trapped his arm with my legs then we sorta just layed there because he wasn't going anywhere and I was too ****ing tired to do ****. I also attempted a Frank Mir on Pete Williams shoulder lock but again, going at 20 precent and I gave up on it. Curly Howard 02-05-2004, 11:55 PM Training is for chumps just sit around and get fat and ***** about life HockeyFighter 02-05-2004, 11:58 PM Instructor is Lee Mein who is a Canadian Superheavyweight Muay Thai champion. Kinda threw me off, I expected him to be bigger. He's like 6'1 220. I don't think he has a BJJ belt at all but he was grappling certificates on the wall. I might go to Muay Thai next wednesday depending on what my schedule is like. seldomTap 02-06-2004, 12:33 AM That is excellent news Hockeyfighter...Team Loggins will only gain momentum now huh! Prince 02-06-2004, 01:24 PM i wonder how sore his abs and legs are today handjobs4dollars 02-06-2004, 01:33 PM I never slept better then night that I first trained. MADD tired. |
