I read taylor is punching harder than ever at the moment.
Mundine doesn't look as strong at this weight and he got dropped by crazy kim so it's questionable if his chin is as strong too at this weight, i wouldn't rule him out.

You should rule him out, and quickly.

I watched Taylor in one of his recent outings on Fox. He was horrible. SInce then he has fought two guys with around 50/50 records, going 12 rounds with one of them.

Mundine is going to absolutely kill him. Taylor is done, Mundine is a disgrace and it is a joke of a fight.

I haven't seen Taylor fight since the Mosley fight to be honest with you. So I can't really comment on Taylors recent form. But he was pretty **** house then.

All I can say is that it's a mismatch. I wish I was wrong and would love to be proved wrong. **** I would be happy to lose $100.00 to see Taylor win this one.

Yeah I think we all would, there is just no chance though.

I think ppl are going to be surprised at how much of a mismatch this is. Seriously, no disrespect to Shannan, but at this point he is a borderline club fighter.

Taylor punching harder than ever before just doesn't mean much when he's a natural welterweight.

I'm not a Taylor fan by any means, but I'd love to see him crack Mundine's glass jaw. Pity it'll never happen

taylor is completely done, 57 fights, 36 years old, natural welter, been stopped 5 times, former drug addict.....and he wasnt even that great to begin with

in june 08 he battled it out with a guy who was 8-5-1 before koing him in 8

and in his last fight he fought a guy who was 16-14-3, managing to TKO him in the 12th

hes pretty much a club fighter at this point, when i watched him fight in june he had no legs, looked a tad pudgy, no reflexes, reasonable power against a fox sports kind of fighter, but against an elite fighter his power would be nothing.

hes shot

this fight is an utter mismatch, mundine cannot justify it at all, hes a ****ing disgrace

It is a joke, I read in the sunday times this was the most eagerly awaited fight in Australia since Mundine-Green, is Aus boxing really that bad?

Mundine is complaining of a spur on his hip and arthritis in his hands, I hope he breaks both of them so we will never have to hear from him again, he brings nothing good to the sport here.

I sent an email to Main event to complain about the quality of feed we get for our overseas fights and I also wrote at the bottom.

" How long are you going to support Anthony Mundine PPV fights when he fights complete mismatch after complete mismatch"?

They replied that they can only get what feed is beamed from overseas although they hope to beam in 16:9 next year. However they completely ignored the Mundine comment. :boxing:

When did you send them that email? Might have been around the same time as I did.

Good stuff for sending that email, we all need to keep at those bastards.

Mundine is 1 inch taller and has the same reach and i think taylor has been at this weight for a while so it might be his weight now.

I think taylor has a chance, taylor has speed and power, if he catches mundine you never know he could ko him, upsets can happen in boxing, obviously the smart money is on mundine though. I don't think taylor is done yet, not long ago he went the distance with authur abraham, he got stopped by mosley in 6 but i don't think mundine is as strong as mosley.

Sent it last week.
Looks like we have to put up with one more year of 4:3 aspect ratio from Top Rank feeds.

taylor was beaten and cried like a girl against joval... who was hammered by sam soliman LOL

even worse.... he was loosing to Andreas Seran (8-5-1) and was telling his corner he didnt have it anymore and was almost in tears before stopping him in the 8th..

that taylor couldnt even beat himself off.

I'm not looking to be attacked here, but I heard something of the winner taking on Froch? Anyone know anything of this? I'm going to assume if it is what's supposed to happen Mundine will beat Taylor then move up 3 weights classes to get away from Froch or perhaps retire.

This is an eliminator bout.

With the winner scheduled to take on Sturm on the 11th of July.

I haven't heard that.

What will most likely happen is Mundine will KO Taylor fairly early then go on about how he is going to become the man at MW. He will then procede to moan for a couple of months about Pavlik, AA and Sturm ducking him whilst secretly doing everything he possibly can to avoid fighting them. He will then sign to fight another bum/has-been and proclaim that after THIS fight he will go overseas and fight for a world title.

Like i said the bout is an official eliminator bout.

Winner faces Sturm on July 11th. Has been said by a respected Australian promoter. And Mundine himself has confirmed this.

Now we can all make up things. And make comments filled with hate. Or we can act like adults.

Is that you ult?

I don't hate Mundine. I think he is a bit of a joke but certainly no hate. I would be pretty surprised if he faced Sturm. Even though I don't rate Sturm too highly he is still def a top 5 MW, Anthony doesn't seem to like facing world rated fighters anymore. Basically, I will believe it when I see it.

It's not the first time we've heard this, so you can't blame us for being a little skeptical about this.

Act like Adults LOL.

Are you telling us Taylor (who isn't rated in the top 50 in the world) is fighting for a shot at a WBA world title?
Well fair enough then, he deserves his shot. :dunno:

Shannan Taylor is ranked number 10 by the WBA.
This bout serves as a title eliminator.
Winner faces Felix Sturm in Nuremberg on the 11th of July.

Are you upset with the ranking systems?

Yes I am.
If he is ranked #10 middleweight in the world then the WBA are kidding themselves. This fight is a joke just like most of Anthony's other fights.
This has to be another ULT alt account right?

Interesting fight. They are two fighters who will never reach there full potential.

I heard that Mundine was offered a fight on the De La Hoya undercard against Randy Griffin and did not take it.

Just shows you how fair dinkum he is.

Good news, he should manage to get out of fighting Sturm, he'll have to get up in weight to get at a retired Danny Green. Such good news, this mention of a re match with Ottke is what fans have been Begging for as well.

Is the fight tonight?
