Why do Americans hate the French so much?

Everyone hates the french, its not just Americans

They smell bad and they're pretentious.

I LOVE french bread.

They also take credit for cheese, when they really don't make cheese. They just make **** that smells like my feet

In my personal experience. They're rude. I was in quebec and montreal for a visit. I tried asking directions for streets. One of the ****ers I asked just looked at me and said imbecile in french. Like I wouldn't ****in know what that meant. Nobody, would be nice enough to give me directions. They're not very courteous to you if you don't know how to speak french. Even my cousins that live there say that. But, not every frenchman is like that, I hope.

First of all I'm talking about the French, not canadians who speak French. But anyway how does that differ from the way americans treat foreigners who don't speak the language.

Every french person Ive met was cool. Its just Americans dont like the decisions made by their government, and Im sure they feel the same way about ours.

You will be surprised on how accurate and true are the stereotypes that French have about Americans. There is no hate, it's just that we're completely different from them. I'm always talking **** about them, but to be honest I went to a French school for a while during my younger years and I am once again taking French classes in school. It's a very interesting culture; they live to relax, anjoy life, and party.

It's all good. They just need to shower a little more often and it's all gravy.

Sometimes I give people bad directions on purpose, not because I hate them, but because it's funny.

One thing I agree with the French with is how American corporations have to profit maximize everything.
We cant have a piece of culture without T-shirts, lunchboxs and Mcdonalds happy meal prizes made of it.

French chicks are ****ing hot.

Well, I can't speak for everybody. But, when someone speaks another language and ask for directions. I try to be courteous atleast and try to direct them or find something or someone that can atleast further help the situation. Not be a prick and walk away and not even acknowledge you.

And another thing. People judge on where theyve been. The french people ive met say that french people always want to visit New York. Where as Americans will most likely go to Paris.
What do they have in common? Both are big city areas that take up 90% of their countries *******s.

Hatred of the French has spawned good things as well. I dont think the S hates the French as much as the british.

It was/is a war over oil. Everyone is doing what they do for the money so you can't blame the French at all. They are going with what will keep them their money and they damn well know this isn't some bull**** about terrorist, that was just an excuse.

Don't get me wrong. Like, I said they all can't be like that. This guy my bjj instructor use to train with was a frenchman and he taught savate. None of us knew what the **** he was saying. But we all treated him cool. I think the french get insulted with us cuz we don't know they're language. I live in Jersey City, and we have alot of spanish people. But, I don't get pissed off when I use to ask for help and couldn't understand them. Besides a qui and pointing usually helps. Atleast, they could have atleast tried. I don't think they even do that.

There are dicks in ALL parts of the world, including France and the US. Don't make it sound like we are such nice and polite people because we're not. French people don't like the way Americans impose their language wherever they go, that is why they rather have a conversation in their native language.

It happens here too, I'm from a city near the center of Barcelona, and I can say for experience that the most part of people from the big cities sucks. I see that so well when I worked in two differents banks, one in the center and other near my town...
