Penn Files Complaint Over Vaseline on St-Pierre’s Back
BJ Penn has filed a complaint with the Nevada State Athletic Commission after Vaseline was applied to Georges St-Pierre’s back between the second and third rounds of their UFC 94 headliner.
During a post-fight appearance on ESPN’s MMA Live St-Pierre explained that one of his trainers applied Vaseline to his face between the first and second rounds then rubbed his back with the same hand between the second and third rounds, accidentally applying some remaining Vaseline to his back. An NSAC official who witnessed the transfer had the Vaseline immediately wiped off with a towel.
Little is likely to come of the complaint as St-Pierre was already dominating Penn prior to the incident and the substance was immediately removed, ensuring that it had no effect on the bout’s outcome.

Agreed. I was rooting for Penn but no excuses, he got manhandled from beginning to end. GSP went all medieval on him and didn't give him an inch. It was strength and size that was the difference to me. Both guys are equally as skilled, it's just GSP is that much of a monster at 170 that he can just outmuscle anyone and wear a guy down to the point of exhaustion which is basically what happened. Best performance of his career so far IMO.

I always bet on Penn, but I knew GSP was going to be a tough fight. I thought that it would be similiar to their first fight, but this time the new BJ did not show up. Instead the old fat and lazy BJ took his place. He'll be back though at 155 kicking ass and taking names.

wow, that is disgusting. I've lost all respect for Penn. I actually was a fan of his until I read this. I am truly disappointed in Penn. :nonono:

Bj hasnt filed a complaint.. the nsac is the one causing the stir and talking about sanctioning gsps corner as well. also sherk and miller have both complained about gsp greasing in the past. just saying don't jump to conclusions. and no i dodnt think it would have made a diff.
