It sounds like not many people saw it.. so a few brief thoughts..

Ramirez is an absolute clown and didnt want to be there. threw his best punches on the walk to the ring. the only ones he threw with intent the whole night. he basically skipped around the ring without throwing for the first 4 rounds where katsidis boxed decently and went to the body well.. he was alot more evasive then he has been in the past, but that could be because ramirez threw wide and looping punches with **** all technique..

anyways the knockdowns weren't from really flush punches.. more ramirez taking a knee cause he didnt want to be there.

one downside was that in a 2nd round exchange katsidis seemed to be a little wobbled by a ramirez bomb.

anyways katsidis seemed to get frustrated and ramirez wouldnt make a fight of it. it got kind of tedious through the middle stages..

ramirez threw a few punches in the 9th but then in the 10th when he clearly needed a knockout he just kept skipping around the ring. when the bell rang and he had survived he grinned like he'd just knocked out a prime ali.

anyways on katsidis.. he looks like he's made a few improvements.. he only got really wild that one time in the second round.. he showed good head movement and landed some trademark body shots.. my greatest concern was that he didnt cut off the ring a little better with ramirez circling throughout the fight.

No mate - I downloaded fox sports version later. Commentary was in English.
2 English speaking commentators from the Philippines, and Foxsports also sent Matt Campbell to co commentate with them.

His opponent was a chicken **** and it ruined any possibility to be a decent fight. In the first 4 rounds any time he got hit with anything he went down on one knee. The rest of the fight he basically ran from Katsidis.


Katsidis said after the fight that he wanted to perform better but his opponent seemed content to just go the distance. Is looking at a fight in either Brisbane or Melbourne next and would love another shot as Casamayor.
