I think Bonnar is lucky that he fought Jones at 21 instead of 31. He's got much potential.

i just hope the UFC doesn't rush him and throw him to the wolves of the division right away. give him some time to develop his game a little bit more and they could have a major star on their hands

He looked impressive up until halfway through the second round. After that he looked average and was tired. He's lucky he was in there with Bonnar and not a top flight guy cos they woulda beat the daylights out of him as soon as he'd gassed. Plenty of potential though.

IMO Jones has all of the tools with just one set back - The guy is clearly a *****, avoiding getting hit at any cost. It's one thing to not get hit, but it's another thing to not want to be hit.

I was very impressed by him in all aspects except for his cardio. He seemd tired at the end of round 1, bu round 3 almost ready to collapse. His wrestling was superb however.

I was impressed as ****, especially considering that he's just 21. The spinning back-fist, the belly-to-back suplex, the judo throws, the guy's exciting as hell to watch. He's got plenty of time to improve his conditioning.

You don't consider Bonnar a top 30 fighter? Are you insane? Jones has not shown to be a *****. The guy has been training striking for under a year, he isn't used to being hit yet.

He just completely dominated a very solid fighter, with under a year of training. He'll be looked at as on GSP's level within the next few years.

I agree, the guy has an amazing skill set. Plenty of room for improvement, but its not like he doesn't have time on his side, he's only 21 years old. Clearly a next generation fighter.

He did look VERY good against Bonnar though. He gassed way early, but as he's only 21, he has bags of time to improve his lungs.

The first two throws were textbook judo style.

The belly-to-back and the double-wizzer throw were very impressive as well.

jones have a bright future ahead of him

he's only been training for 9 months basically. to be that good so soon is the mark of something special. hopefully he will be brought along slowly, there is no need to rush him along. i don't want to see him go the way of Sokoudjou.

i read somewheres that he's going to train with one of Coutures old coaches, should help him alot. he comes off as humble in his interviews, he knows he has work to do on his game.

Yeah that kid showed some sick moves. I noticed a couple of very Capoeira esque style moves, and some absolutely awesome greco.
Boy needs to work on his cardio, but there is great potential there.
