Rakim - Let the rhythm Hit 'em (http://rapidshare.com/files/168851288/Eric_B.___Rakim_-_Let_The_Rythm_Hitem__Long_Island__NY___1990_.rar)
Is that the album?
His second best album of completely original material after Don't Sweat The Technique in my opinion

Well i meant to exclude the 18th letter, that wasn't all original material (The second disc).
Floyd Sinclair 01-30-2009, 07:45 PM Well i meant to exclude the 18th letter, that wasn't all original material (The second disc).
I believe it went in this order...
paid in full
follow the leader
let the rhythm hit em
dont sweat the technique
18th letter/book of life
The master
your right about the 18th letter...theres 2 different versions of that. I bought the single disc one, but there was a double disc cd that had all his old school classics on it (well not all them, but some of them)
These are two great but way underrated tracks from the Don't Sweat The Technique album .

Floyd Sinclair 01-30-2009, 07:54 PM I agree about both those songs...that cd is a classic. Rakim dropped 5 consecutive classics, something no other rapper has ever or will ever do.
Gift of Gab 01-30-2009, 09:06 PM many people consider all of these classic, mac:

Totally Agree! Gangstarr are probably the only group who continuously got better through every album (though Hard to Earn is my personal fav)
I like 18th Letter, But The Master was hella weak compared to 18th Letter

From what I have seen, most do consider moment of truth and hard to earn classics. Theres a good amount who also say Daily Operation is a classic, but I dont see too many say Step in the arena and No more mr. nice guy are classics...still solid albums though. Thats still arguably 3 consecutive classics so maybe they did deserve to be in your thread that you made. Im sorry that I was an ******* in that thread, but I was just ****in around. I like to do that sometimes...I dont know that many people that have heard no more mr. nice guy but i like that cd alot.
