Im 13 and i train 2 hrs monday wedensday and friday at boxin club
then tuesday tursday and saterday i do about 20 mins skippin and sit ups just curious is that much or not






go on the irish!!!!!!!!!!

Not really my son trains from monday thru friday from 4p.m-7p.m....and runs 3 miles on sunday"s with saturday off!....He's 8yrs old...weight's 60lbs.

stop training so much and concentrate on your studies and social life, they are far more important

****! he trains more than me lol

60 lbs, thats about 27 kg, i weighed around that when i was his age, or maybe a tad heavier, but i wasnt training then lol

how many fights has your son had?

His first fight is this weekend on the 31st in San Fernando C.A...He spar's with alot kids that have alot of fight's and does good against all of them..they weight 65lbs-90lbs...Check him out on youtube...His name is Raymond Otanez!

Depends on your goals and your intensity of training. But generally that should be enough for amateur boxing if you train HARD during those times, not half assed.

thats the most trainin i can do at club but it intense trainin
i do the same amount of trainin of 2 guys tht are goin fr the olmpics
and i also have plenty of time for school and other tings but tht 8 year old
guy does a bit two much he should train like 6 to 9 instead give him chance to do
stuff with his friends
im 42kg 5 foot 2 i have very strong punch for wieghtg but kinda slow there are guys 55kg with weaker punches then me

Wise advice my friend.

Anyway, no i dont think you train too hard. Also, you havent told us what you do during those 2 hours. Personally, it doesnt sound too hard, and if those 2 hours are full of work than it sounds on target to me!

I started when i was 14 and i trained intensely until i was 17 when i got injured from overtraining. It was a good start and it got me in fantastic shape. I'm also capable of knowing my limits and the right amount to train due to experience and sadly, my injury.

If i were you i would push hard but dont overdo it or do anything stupid (like running on concrete with ankleweights)

them 2 hrs is mostly bag work pads stomach and leg exercises and about 2 three rounds spars
