when you look at the pictures they become stored in your internet cache, which means the pictures are stored on your computer to retrieve them faster in the future. so when you try to load the picture in the future, it doesn't load from the website, it loads from your computer. that's why every once in awhile you have to clear it to get websites loading faster.
