Im not quite sure what to do with my hands when slipping punches. Is it best to keep my guard up high or lower it so its just my head thats gotta slip the punch because it can still throw me off balance if if a punch deflects off my glove and i dont get the same feeling of having evaded the punch or sometimes i feel as if i want to bring the the opposite hand across, for example if i slip to the right i can bring my right hand across to the left side of my face with my palm facing outwards sort of like i was catching a ball if that makes sense...

Your hands should be temple high when slipping punches. Even when slipping they should be right beside ur face and temple high in case ne shots graze off ur shoulders when slipping and hit ur head.

Keep them on your chin or your temple and slip side to side with your hands still up, never drop your hands when slipping punches unless you have God given reflexes like no other.
