i jump rope on the timer for 5 3 minute rounds no breaks but the break periods on the bell are 1 minute so about 19 minutes consecutivly when i first get to the gym.. then an hour and a half later after doing the boxing i run on the treadmill for 30 minutes then work another half hour on technique

yeas theres no room for smoking.. but if it makes u feel any better i smoked for 7 years .. i quit a year and a half ago

I try to go for about 15 mins non stop, if I mess up I either do 20 push ups or 20 sit ups and then start back up again

when im in full shape i can jump rope at a steady, brisk pace (doing double jumps, burts of speed, cross overs and **** too) for as much as 30 minutes

but then again im a little guy whos very light on his feet

i imagine its much harder for heavier guys

a good 30-45 minutes with double unders and crossovers. If I do nothing before that that puts strain on my knees

yeah, just do as much as you can do until you are basically ****ed and then just push yourself as hard as you can, keep building up

if you say now you can do 1:20, try and make it to 2 minutes tomorrow, and then keep going

the ony way to get fitter and progress is to push past your comfort zone, and then push some more

Today I have made this:

3 x 6 minutes - heavybag

2 x 6 minutes - jump-rope

1 x 6 minutes - fight with the shadow

After this we had some dynamic weightlifting.

Normally we have something like 3 x 10 minutes of jump-rope workouts.

just to let you know but 2 minutes of skip rope is pretty bad don't even expect to start sparring unless you can go 10 minutes continuously. On average anyone that takes boxing seriously and including your size should at least be able to do 3x3 rounds of skipping rope.
But don't let that discourage you when I started I couldn't even skip rope hell I'd do 3 jumps then mess up and redo it. Just give it time and work thats all you need. don't set your goal at 2 minutes try to accomplish it within a maximum of a week.

I do 15 and the last 5 hard. In my opinion i dont think jumping for 30 mins is a good idea beacuse you only get so much time in the gym, and should be focusing on boxing technique. But thats just my thought.

....wow...

I usually go 20 minutes without a break mixing in different styles all the time, including double unders. Its not a challenge anymore but I use it as a warm up not as conditioning. Good luck, just keep pushing it.

You could try doing 1 minute of hard ass skipping and rest for 30 seconds then do another hard minute, rest, skip, rest, skip for a while to build up. Start with 5 or so intervals and work up and keep adding time to the work portion whenever you feel you can. Every once in a while test yourself by going non stop and see how youve improved.
