Hi i really want to start boxing but at the moment i cant with my injuries to my legs. I do however want to start at least some cardio work but im struggling to think of anything apart from bike which doesnt affect my knee- even in a swimming pool my knee hurts bad. i want to throw punches and stuff but i cant without pain......any ideas? i thought about throwing punches whilst seated...

don't punch while sitting down, it'll get u into the habit of punching with ur arms only. if swimming hurts then stick with the bike and do situps and chinups. u should also get some hand squeezers http://www.prohands.net/

Just relax and let yourself heal. If you do everything you can to aid your recovery and do nothing you'll recover sooner so you'll be able to train properly sooner which will do you alot more good then slowing your progress doing something that hardly has anything to do with boxing.
