View Full Version : I' ll be a little quiet for a couple of days.........
Boxerdog 11-10-2004, 08:24 AM I am having minor eye surgery tomorrow and will likely be MIA for a few days. They tell me that there is no "minor" surgery for a guy with high blood pressure, diabetes, sleep apnea and chronic pain issues like me though. I spent much of yesterday being poked and prodded and then assuring various hospital personel that if they killed me, I wouldn't get up off the slab and sue them! :D
On the upside, they tell me that after the procedure I will be able to drive at night....in the rain...without endangering the neighbors lawns!
good luck man, any type of medical procedure is a little frightening I feel for ya, let us know all is well yeah  ;)

Cataract removal using a laser and an artificial lens inserted. Just my left eye tomorrow but my right one will need work too before too long.
He said the left eye was terrible though.....that if they had checked my vision when I renewed my licence in July, I would be walking.

Boxerdog 11-12-2004, 10:59 AM Everything went great...so well that I'm having the other eye done next Thursday. The only down side was that they were very stingy with the feel good nedicine because of worries over my sleep apnea. I was wide awake, tied down and the last drops they put in burned like liquid fire. Still worth it when they took that patch off this morning and I saw how bright and colorful things appeared! I am a little beat and sore though so I will be laying low for a few.
And......PBDS,
I am 51..don't look it though.
I LOOK 91. :D

Good luck with that B-dog and take care of yourself. Make sure you do what the Dr. tells you so you'll heal better and faster! ;)

well neighbor's lawns safety is the only reason to have your eyes cut open
if ever there was a reason to have someone jab a knife or laser in your eye
it would have to be for a nice lawn
