board seem pretty damn dead today? Or is it just me?

If you could make one change to our society what would it be?

I can think of 2 right off the bat.

Legalize Marijuana
Raise the minimum wage to at least $8

The board is rather dead today.

I would change the enforcement of laws. Fry the creeps.

And fire cops that don't do their ****ing jobs.

It is 8$ in Oregon and pot is all but decriminalized here too. It's real easy to get your pot card, and if you don't have it and are caught with under an oz, they just right you a ticket.

Decriminalization is great. But I want to be able to walk into the local convenience store and say "Give me a pack of BC blunts." pay $25(wishful thinking) and be on my merry way.

I wouldn't mind living in Portland, seems like it's a great place. I doubt the wife would go for it though. Too cold and too far away.

Isn't TQFC close to Portland? Why don't you go train there Blue?

So smoking weed makes you a loser? Working at McDonald's or at the mall makes you a loser?

In our society we need people to work @ those jobs, and they deserve better pay.

TQFC is in Gresham. I've thought about going there but it's like 45 minutes away. I like the place I train at now(North West Fighting Arts) and it's less than 1 mile from where I live and work. Also, I've been training alot in Lameco, which I really enjoy, and they don't train stick and knife at Team Quest. If I moved closer to Gresham I'd definately go there but right now it's just a bit too far.

If I could live, work and train all in a 1 mile radius I'd be very very happy. I drive over 50 miles to work, and about 25 to where I train. Damn my wife for talking me into buying a house in the burbs.

DAMN! That's some commute time! I live Downtown but am thinking of moving more into suburbia, you get more bang for your buck there. I do enjoy everything I need being very close. If I don't want to, I never have to leave my neighborhood because everything I need is right here.

The issue with legalising marijuana is that it would then come under the same taxes and tariffs as tobacco does.

It would also get processed to such an extent it would actully become more dangerous, like tobacco, which in its natural plant form isn't anywhere near as carcinogenic as it is once processed and packaged, while at the same time, probably becoming less potent.

So less buzz, more cancer. YAY

What the **** are you talkin' about *******! I work at McDonald's for $5.25 an hour and do alot of crack. You gonna say that those 2 are somehow related and make me a loser. Whaddup wit dat? I bust my hump on a daily basis and can't even get a big enough paycheck for my cardboard box and a few rocks a day. If it wasn't for me you couldn't get your Filet-O-Fish and McSalad Shaker everyday. Damn you and your upper crust yuppie attitude!

Is that better?

I like that quote wondermut. It explains why work has been on a decline for me.

My hubby and kids travel 55 miles one way three days a week to do their training.

It's down to one day a week now, it's nice to see my hubby again.:)
