Maybe Dre just isn't that good anymore and that's why he seems to never be dropping Detox.

im thinking that he may just be embarrassing himself with all this promotion and such because i am starting to really doubt the quality of not only the album itself but his remaining ability to produce and rap. the second, not a surprise, but without the first, he's literally got nothing.

Could be the case, yes. Also that he have two great albums [The chronic I&II] to live up to..! That gotta be a weight on his shoulder now he have done so much time trying to promote his new album.. That could lead to, as you say, some doubt in his mind about Detox..
But then again, he's a busy producer and got tons of other stuff to take care of.

although i am uninformed as to what dre is currently up to i can't see how he could possibly be in high demand right now. this album should be his number one priority because it is essentially going to provide the public with evidence against or in support of the buzz that dr.dre may be done like dinner.

Can't rush a masterpiece.....It seems like Em and Dre are taking a longtime dropping their albums but I would just like to think that they are perfecting it.

He will release it eventually. At the end of the day it will sell **** loads so he's not going to pass up that opportunity for more cash. Axl Rose took his time with Chinese Democracy, their last release before CD was in 1993, but he managed to finally release that this year.

To be fair alot of people were talking like this 10 years ago, and then he dropped 2001.

He will struggle to make an album as complete as 2001 but I still hope he drops Detox eventually.

It's bound to have atleast a few bangers on it.

honestly i don't think there has ever been as much pressure on one artist as this album will have....this has to be a classic.....theres no way around it. you don't wait 10 years for an average album.
