my baby girl's Sweet 16 birthday.
She was due to be born on Jesus' birthday and born on Elvis'!!
I can't believe she can now go on a date without a chaperone. WHhhhaaaaaa!!!! Life moves too fast sometimes.......
*getting nostalgic for the days when they were little and oh so lovable 100% of the time...lol*

Yes I am. Today I am taking her some pink balloons per her sister's request (the birthday girl hates pink...lol) and lunch for her and her friends.
She thinks she is having a birthday party on Saturday, but when she comes home tomorrow evening from TKD, she'll be surprised by her friends with a surprise party!!! She has no clue so far....I hope!:) She's a hard one to pull things over on. She's extremely observant.
Her birthday present from Mom is a shopping spree (next month when the tax return comes in)with Mom and from Dad a note that says it includes her getting her upper ears pierced. That's all she really wants for her birthday, is the ear piercing and Dad has said NO NO NO NO!!!!! I talked to Dad and convinced him to say yes.:) This is the one daughter that can usually talk her Daddy into anything.....she just bats her eyelashes and says...."Daaadddddy?" and he pulls out his wallet!!! LOL

You're right there!!! On both counts!
Her daddy has been getting himself used to the idea slowly. We do have an older daughter (17) so we've been thru this before, but this daughter and her Daddy have been especially close. She has a boyfriend, it's just everything has been chaperoned or he comes over here, which he does alot. Daddy has "grown" to like this boyfriend. LOL....and that's saying alot!

Well, at least you already know the guy, and it isnt a perfect stranger taking her out.

He doesn't have a car or a license either, so it will be interesting to see how soon we get asked to take them somewhere.....lol.
Doh, as the father of a 4 year old daughter you're bringing to the light my worst nightmares. Sounds like a good party and some good gifts. Wish her a happy birthday from the GlobalMMA swine!

LOL.....Mine have come true!! Actually, she's a great kid with a good head on her shoulders. Keep the line of communication open and you'll both be fine.
I took her pink balloons, lunch from McDonald's and a candy bar. She's happy now. She got floured from her friends (involves dumping flour on her head) and the band is going to play Happy Birthday to her off key......happy times!!! Gotta run, gonna take a video of the band playing badly.............:crazy2:
