Small question regarding leg press exercising

What is the most suitable weight to do for someone that's 174 CM tall and 88 KG? Might be a dumb question but i just can't get the right feeling to which might be best, my record is 35 pushes on the 165 KG weights, i can do more but my legs started to sound funny so i'd stopped..

what's the average weight one should do at age 16?

idk how strong are you... if you are doing 35 reps of 165 its safe to say you should add more weight

I only used it once before for like 5 minutes so i haven't really trained my legs before, im afraid my bones will fail or something

And the maxweight of the leg presser is around 185.5 kilos, shouldn't it be way more if a kid like me can do the max?

do squats, they are a better leg workout.

if he doesnt know how much he can do then he could easily hurt himself doing squats

not if he starts off light and build up, use a squat rack.

squats are a touchy exercise you should only do them if you know what you are doing

oh shutty! he could just watch some video on youtube or ask a trainer at the gym, they shouldnt charge him for just helping him get some basic technique in the squat. Or look at a few pictures or watch a few vids on youtube and you'll have a pretty decent idea. He could use a smith machine as well.
