Sometimes I post on another forum for Rap all together (www.rapworlds.com), one of my boys released a follow up EP to his first EP, it's called Sleep Depravation 2. Here's what he said on it:
this is the follow up to my 2008 EP "Sleep Deprivation"... the concept is basically the same, I stayed awake for 2 and a half days just making beats, writing songs, and recording 9 tracks in 2 hours... the quality may be an issue to some of you, but that was the whole point, while recording, and even now, i'm too sleepy to even care... this **** came from the heart, even though my favorite track got ruined by the engineer (sorry IQO, we'll get em on Souled Out)... so enjoy...

Here's a track that wasn't on the EP, kinda just a preview of what his sound is like and how he spits, etc. Track's called 'I Shot Lucifer...'

My Review:
I've been anticipating this for a while, another EP/LP release from the best MC on RW, KO da God.
Heard this about 3 times already, better than the first, much better. It sounds alot more polished beatwise as if you had a better studio to record in, made it sound more official.
Favorite tracks were 'Going Back To Georgia', 'Father & Son' & 'If Life Sucks, Then Buy That ***** A Tonque Ring' (which sounded nothing like i thought it was going to lol, in a good way though).
The only problem that I had with it was the quality of the outro, Sleep Depravation. The beat was above the lyrics so it was kinda hard to hear what you were saying but it was still a good effort from the lyrics that I could make out.
Favorite Few Continuos Bars
'Trapped in my dirty southern state of mind,
like the jungle brother's state of mind,
just a different place and time,
like Kobe in his rookie year,
I just play the pine,
but bench ridin' 'bout to make me
just forsake the grind,
pressure weigh my minds',
you can't take away with rhymes,
and my life changes paths like, eighty times,
i chased a college degree, and put away the nine,
and now I'm tryin to MC, maintainin mine...'
It might just be me, but does that quote has basically encapsulate your life for the past year, maybe year and half?
Don't know why but when I first heard what I quoted it stuck out to me, really sincere and simple to the point of that's what you've been doing with your life lately (it seams).
Also, the lyrics and emotion put into 'Father & Son' was amazing. Not to mention the sample used for it was perfect. 'Nuff said.
I really enjoyed this KO, and will continue to enjoy it as I can really see it getting into my normal album rotation of CDs I keep in my ride, and I'll be looking forward to your next release whenever it drops.

If you listen to it post your own review and speak on it, the dude's got talent. He'd like to hear what other people think of his music, what he can improve on, etc.
Or you can email any feed to him @ 1600bce@gmail.com aswell.
