I used to think he was just overrated and sucked, but when you listen to Tha Carter I/II/III you really start to understand how good he really is.

He grew on me back when nobody gave a ****. And now he's a distorted sounding idiot. His style is deteriorating.

Carter I and II were hot. Carter III was just rehashed and lazy. He should have saved some punchlines for the album instead of putting it all on the mixtapes.

I've legit been a Weezy fan since Carter I, for some reason I bought it one day on a whim, thinking it'd be dope, and it was dope. From then on I was a Weezy fan, but honestly I don't listen to much of his **** from before Tha Carter I, except a few notable songs here and there like "Tha Block Is Hot" and things like that.

His mixtapes are usually really ****in dope, I have all 3 Dedication tapes he did with DJ Drama, and Im gunna cop Da Drought soon.

I agree Carter III coulda been way better, but for what it was it was pretty good, he just did stuff a little different from the other two Carter albums. Apparently he's re-releasing Tha Carter III with all different songs, and hes calling it "The Rebirth". Should be interesting.

Yes, the vocorder gets old, but it'll go away soon enough, it's just a fad, like snap rap was, sooner or later once everyone gets their vocorder fever outta their system it'll go away. Some of the songs I don't even mind him using it, like his verse on "I'm So Paid" with Akon, and "Me and My Drank".

I think a lot of ppl hate on Weezy before even listening to him fully or fully understanding what he means on some of his more serious songs. They just write him off and jump aboard that bandwagon.

He has released alot of good work. Dedication 3 and Tha Carter 3 are among, if not, his worst releases to date.

Tha Carter II is a southern classic. Tha Carter is also a very good album. Dedication I & II are both solid mixtapes. Da Drought 3 was one of the best mixtapes of all '08.

He's fallen off as of late though, but if he can get back into a Carter II mindstate he can still make good music.

i listened to the C3 all the way thru

and there was nothing on there that made me wanna put it on repeat. i few nice hooks and beats, but the choppy flow and failed attempt at clever word play made me put in my Nas
