View Full Version : if you dont like nas untitled album it means you are unintelligent...
billionaire 01-02-2009, 03:17 AM for hiphop fans at least...or you are some throwback nerd who will never give credit to mainstream or new music....nas is the last great mainstream rapper....the first 5 songs suck because they had to be softened for the label to release it....but then it picks up...what other album would talk about america, foxnews, extraterestrial life, conspiracies, to fried chicken and pork, the life of a roach...while still being good music...and without being some boring nonflowing loser like immortal technique

Album was alright, but even you suggest we ought to grade it on a curve (or relative to modern Hip Hop) in your post when you ask what other current albums would be willing to do what he did in that one. I think for a modern album it is great; but from a general standpoint within the context of Hip Hop history, it is just alright.
By the way, i agree with you about Immortal technique, tired of hearing about him.
supRa 01-02-2009, 04:43 AM yea i love his album...
classic..
Killa Cam 01-02-2009, 05:52 AM ...the first 5 songs suck
Haha, the irony of you calling hip-hop fans unintelligent.
Floyd Sinclair 01-02-2009, 02:41 PM I partially agree with the threadstarter....i dont think someone who doesnt like it is not intelligent, but someone that doesnt give nas his props for still being a very good rapper at his age is not intelligent. Untitled aint my favorite cd to come out this year, but i do consider it to be the best cd to come out in 08.

Hearnz 01-02-2009, 03:33 PM I don't think it's even one of his top 3 albums. It's okay, but not great.
jack_the_rippuh 01-02-2009, 03:57 PM I liked it.

i didnt say grade it on a curve but all classic albums are relevant to their time period....thats why dmx first album is considered classic because it came at the time when the music began to get watered down....the reason its not considered better i think most people skipped thru the albums nowadays instead of actually listening to them...and it starts off real bad.....the album came out in july and i didnt fully appreciate it until now

True, but albums are also graded relative to the complete discoraphy of the artist.

illmatic is easily his best but the rest is up for dispute
some say lost tapes is 2nd because it sounds the most like illmatic
but i consider it untitled or stillmatic-both those albums have the same type of current events content
Kobe Bryant 01-04-2009, 10:21 PM Album is dope. You get tired of listening to commercial rap with no substance after a while. It's definitely good to ride to. But again it gets tired. I can comeback to this album and listen to it and enjoy it. You always comeback and pick up on little lines and what not. Musically it's a good album. There are only a few beats that I could see some would complain about.
I don't agree with being dumb for not liking the album. I think that's a bit immature to say.

I think It Was Written and Stillmatic are clearly near the top under Illmatic, everything after that I'd say is up for argument.
I Personally prefer God's Son and I Am to untitlted, but that's just my preference.

lol...........
yeah i think thats going too far.
ABOSWORTH 01-05-2009, 12:56 PM I like the album but that is a stupid thing for you to say. Maybe someone just doesn't like the beats on that album. How can they be unintelligent simply for their taste in music? That's just an ignorant thing to say.
Immortal Technique has more powerful and politically oriented lyrics than NAS IMO.
TRAVI$ 01-05-2009, 01:31 PM Yeah, I'd say the chick in RJJ's sig is probably the nicest I've seen.
Truth 01-05-2009, 01:33 PM thanks man. :D
Eric Holder 01-05-2009, 11:00 PM I liked Nas' mixtape with Green Lantern a little more
