its amazing some of the differences between the organizations and how each fighter is ranked.

Thing is these aren't organizations, Sherdog and MMAWeekly are news websites and WAMMA is a wannabe WBC/WBA/IBF/WBO organization. UFC, DREAM whoever doesn't have anything to do with this.

YUHHHHHHH!

I can't wait to see Alistair climb those rankings. He has no limits at Heavyweight.

I agree Bricks. Funny he's the only fighter I've ever thought would benefit more from moving up a weight class rather than moving down a weight class.

Now that he's not draining his body dry he looks like the fighter he is in the first 3 minutes of his matches prior to his heavyweight move, except he is sustaining it for an entire match.

YUHHHHHHH!

To add to that, people always thought that Alistair's chin was made of glass. I've always believed the exact opposite. At 205, there was no way for people to expect him to take a shot while being drained like that. I think now that he is at his natural weight and isn't straining himself, that it improved his chin as well.

Plus I don't remember Alistair being unconscious in MMA, just TKO'd. Though I could be wrong.

I wouldn't go as far as to say that his chin has improved. True draining the body can weaken the man, but it's usually to the body where it affects them most and in the gas tank. I have only seen him put to sleep a la Evans/Liddell, Gonzaga/Crocop once against Bobby Hoffmann. He has been out before albeit for a few seconds, and when he came to he didn't know what happened such as the second Shogun and the fight against Chuck.

I will say this, Overeem is potentially the threat at HW that he was trying to be at LHW.

HEAVYWEIGHT DIVISION (over 205 pounds)
#1 Heavyweight Fighter in the World: Fedor Emelianenko
2. Josh Barnett
3. Frank Mir
4. Andrei Arlovski
5. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira
6. Randy Couture
7. Tim Sylvia
8. Gabriel Gonzaga
9. Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic
10. Brock Lesnar

MMA Weekly is a joke.

I can't fathom for the life of me how they could have Frank Mir over Arlovski. Look at both fighters over the last 2 years, Arlovski hasn't had a loss since July 2006 with wins over Cruz, Werdum, Rothwell, O'Brien, Nelson. Mir on the other hand in the last 2 years got destroyed against Cruz and Vera.

Mir will get exposed really bad against Lesnar in the next fight unless Lesnar makes another rookie mistake which is possible. Mir is only where he is at by pure luck. Thats the truth, Nog looked awful and Lesnar was in his second pro fight making a dumb mistake. Mir was getting destroyed in that Lesnar fight and was very lucky the fight got stopped with the back to the head strikes.

Mir would get destroyed against Arlovski.

Also look at their LW ranking. Sean Sherk isn't top 10? WTF? Any bias towards Japanese fighters? Please let me see Sherk matched up with any of them

Overeem weighs 253 pounds!!! He looks even huger now, he's red hot but until he faces a HW from Affliction or UFC I cant rank him to high although he was whippin Cro Cop

He wasn't out cold in that fight, he just got overwhelmed and was fine. This is when he got KTFO good and proper

I agree. For the same reason i can't rate fedor at number 1 atm, since he's not under any contract and hasn't fought in the UFC or dream, or any tournament competition. Is he still able? He needs to go to the UFC. Win over Arlovsky and Lesnar certainly will erase any doubts! Go Fedor!

And on the surface they seem like they look to favour fighters of the American Orgs' as well.

Na Fedor is most def number one, Unlike Overeem whose biggest HW wins are Goodridge, Mark Hunt, and Paul Buentello, Fedor has beaten Noguiera twice, Tim Slyvia, Mirko Cro Cop, Mark Hunt, Mark Coleman (all while in their prime), he's fighting Arlovski, and really the only person he needs to face in my opinion is Barnett. Couture is VASTLY overrated due to his "likeable" persona, and the Mir-Lesnar rematch will see if those too really kicked their game up
