I missed the first part. Basicly they asked him about Randy Couture and if he wanted to fight for the UFC middleweight championship (duh)

Wasn't that much going on.

He is fighting Sak in the New Years Eve show.

I am confused, when I tuned in they were wishing him good luck in his next fight scheduled for April. there was no metion about him fighting Saku in the segment I listened to. Also in the Pridefc website, on the japanese version, the fight between saku and Rogerio has been made official and it appears as part of the card.
??????????

I dunno. I heard them say something about him and Sak getting it on so I thought they were talking about that fight.
Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Returning from holiday break and an earthquake, MMAWeekly radio had Matt "The Law" Lindland on it's Monday show. Matt was a little disappointed that he won't be fighting Sakuraba in PrideFC's Dec. 31st event. He thought he "would receive an early Christmas gift" to fight Sakuraba. Matt said they were interested in putting the match together for quite awhile.

Pride actually called him on Christmas Eve and talked about him fighting Sakuraba. For whatever reason things didn't work out. Lindland said he was confident that he was going and has wanted this fight for a long time. He has always considered Sak to be at the top of the 185lb. fighters. Matt would like a future fight with Sakuraba to take place under Pride rules so he can "throw knees to my advantage." Lindland said he has been working on getting a fight in Pride and, "wants to fight those guys."

Matt does not have a contract with the UFC but thinks he will be signing one soon. In fact, Matt said that he will be fighting in April on the UFC 47 card, but did not know who he would be facing. Lindland doesn't like to take a lot of time off between fights and has been training with Randy Couture in preparation for Randy's title defense against Vitor Belfort.

Matt said, "Randy keeps getting better." Matt predicted that Randy will "destroy" Vitor. He added, Belfort is the number four contender and that Randy already beat the number two and three. Lindland went on to say that Belfort can't strike as good and Chuck Liddell or wrestle as good as Tito Ortiz. He then asked, "What is he gonna bring?" Matt suggested that we go watch the first fight between the two. He would love to see a match between Randy and Wanderlei Silva and stated the he would also like to fight Silva. Matt doesn't think Silva is better than Chuck or Tito but feels he is better than Vitor. Lindland said he is not considering going up in weight class but will go up to take fights. Simply stated, Matt just wants to fight.
