P4PGOAT 12-23-2008, 02:52 PM which do you think is harder boxing or highschool wrestling? both are tough but what is the tougher of the two? tougher how? makes you tougher? physically tougher training? tougher to compete and do well in? lilevil 12-23-2008, 03:00 PM physically tougher training. .:PRINCE:. 12-23-2008, 03:48 PM I think boxing is more tougher than wrestling, for the simple reason boxing is not pre determined. With wrestling you know how long of a match your going to be working, so you could be working a three minute match, or a 10 minute match, and you don't really ahve to prepare for the match providing you have maintained the look, however, with boxing you have to train the same for each match, go through the same routines and excerises, and make you sure you go into a fight giving everything you have. You have little rest, but with wrestling you just work the match, and your opponent is there to help you, not trying to knock you out. But in reality they are probably the same in terms of physical training, because they both require you to maintain your physique, and that's done in the same way. Don Corleone 12-23-2008, 03:59 PM I think he meant amateur wrestling and not professional if I'm correct... ScottDBA 12-23-2008, 05:13 PM Yeah, I don't think there's too many high schools with pro wrestling programs. lol. which do you think is harder boxing or highschool wrestling? both are tough but what is the tougher of the two? Brute Allmighty 12-23-2008, 07:13 PM I was wandering what the guy was talking about. If he was talking about the winner being predetermined or what. And all of the sudden I didn't know anything about high school wrestling. I admit I don't know that much at all but I was deffinatly wandering what part of it was predetermined. Brute Allmighty 12-23-2008, 07:16 PM Oh yeah Forgot the part about the question. IMO you need to look at do you think you might try to go farther into this and which way and what interests you more. Judging by your name I assume your a Jens Pulver fan and your interested in mma so I might look at the wrestling side of things. But I think boxing would probably be more exciting. It's a decision only you can make. cusd'amatokid 12-23-2008, 07:31 PM well i do both and i find wrestling gives me tougher training, just the fact that you do so much every day as in boxing you can go somedays just spar and go home. wrestling theres always a coach breathing down your neck making you push it but thats good lilevil 12-23-2008, 08:18 PM I do mma&boxing but never wrestled in high school so i was just wondering what you guys thought was tougher. Kakutogi-Gumi 12-23-2008, 08:50 PM Yeah, I don't think there's too many high schools with pro wrestling programs. lol. Japan has old school pro-wrestling clubs. Not Sports Entertainment. Dice 12-23-2008, 11:05 PM High school wrestling is tougher imo because there are so many damn rules and places u cant touch. Also most hs wrestlers dont know how to diet so they kill themselves to cut weight where as I seen boxers manage it better. It also doesnt help that high school wrestling season starts THE DAY AFTER THANKSGIVING D.C. 12-23-2008, 11:08 PM I think boxing is more tougher than wrestling, for the simple reason boxing is not pre determined. You're talking about professional wrestling, not amateur wrestling. Professional wrestling is entertainment, amateur wrestling is an actual sport. They're both difficult sports, it's ridiculous to compare the two in any way. Dice 12-23-2008, 11:15 PM I actually think professional wrestling is the hardest of them all solely cuz of schedule, your on the road over 250 days a year, no holidays off, constantly getting slammed, forced to wrestle with injurys, thats why so many of them are addicted to pain killers YUHHHHHHH! 12-24-2008, 02:59 PM I actually think professional wrestling is the hardest of them all solely cuz of schedule, your on the road over 250 days a year, no holidays off, constantly getting slammed, forced to wrestle with injurys, thats why so many of them are addicted to pain killers That's chump change compared to a single mother/hard working father. Celebrities are *****es, only the ones with work ethic will be remembered. |
