In an interview with Paulie ayala:
Who do you think was the hardest puncher you faced?
Definitely I think it was Erik [Morales].
Who do you think overall was the most difficult opponent you faced?Erik. As far as with Barrera, he wasn't the biggest puncher but he caught me with a good body shot. Obviously you've seen again last week what a good body shot will do to you. It happens to the best of us, but during that Morales fight was a lot of punches I endured that I didn't want to take. It definitely cut my career short. Shorter than what I wanted. Yeah I have to say that Eric was probably the toughest guy I fought.
Who do you think who is going to win between Morales and Barrera?I don't know, I think Morales. He's a lot bigger than Barrera. With the size and everything, he has a big advantage. Same with the De La Hoya and Hopkins situation. Hopkins was just a lot bigger man. Sometimes when that happens, even with my situation moving to featherweight, there's a lot bigger guys and you just give away a lot of advantages.
You think Barrera is reconsidering having him as part of his own family now? :D
Morales punch is underated. He might not be the hardest puncher in the world but he's got serious pop.
