Johnny Ruiz is a hometown hero in my city.(Chelsea,MA) and

therefore I'm rooting for and picking John Ruiz to defeat

Andrew Golota by a knockout in the 8th round or Golota is

disqualified by round 10. What is your predictions?

As much as I hate him, I think Ruiz in 10 via KO,I didnt think he could KO/tko Oquendo but he did. I know Golata is no Oquendo but he is way past his prime if he ever had one,lol

Golota seems to have been training hard (3 months) and will hope to weigh in at 235 lbs ... according to boxrec thats the lightest he's been since 1994. And knows his plan is not to let Ruiz hug him.

So im gonna choose Golota.

Really? I hope you are right. Maybe then Ruiz would get some credit. Yes, Golata is way past his prime, he should be fighting Bert Cooper or Wlad for some easy wins. Oleg would be a fun fight to watch too.

I gotta disagree with you there. I think that Golota is as in good a shape physically has he has ever been, and I think that I have to agree with the other poster who said that they didnt believe Golota would ever let himself get DQ'd again. I see this as a Golota victory by KO in about the 5th or 6th.

was watchin, bowe- golota 2 the other day and realised that i had forgotten how talented golota is/was. If he can muster that kind of performance he will stop ruiz late on.

It is likely that Ruiz's punches are the most devastating of all time. Because of this Gollota must be very careful. If Gollota can survive the first 2 rounds then he might have a chance. However just one of those big right hands from Ruiz and gollota will be history.Later brother brologs.
