Yep. My g/f of four years has broken up with me. Her b-day is tomorrow along with Christmas being in three days. Should I give her the gifts I have for her or take them back and spend it selfishly on myself?

depends on the reason for the break up i guess

awwww, thats so sad :( 4 years is a really long time. if it was a 'good' break up and you two are still on pretty decent terms, i'd give'em to her. its such a pain to take stuff back anyway. but if it was pretty messy...**** it...i'd keep everything and give it to the next girl.

Tha Playa
12-22-2003, 12:13 PM
I don't know how to classify it. She just heard some bull**** from some of her other friends and believes it.
We have been having some issues for a while now but were staying together because we had more good than bad thing going. I'm not really upset about it as it will be nice to be single again. It's just a shock to the system when we were talking about marriage not long ago and now I'm back in the hunt.

well as far as the marriage thing goes...look at it this way...its better to realize now that things wouldn't work than to go actually go through with it and get married and end up having to get divorced later on.

If it was me I'd give them to her. Kind of a "no hard feelings/lets still be friends" offer

Go have makeup sex and throw 20 bucks on the bed as you're leaving to get even. It makes her feel like a whore and you get to give her a gift.

It depends on how you feel and what the gifts mean. It also depends on what the break up was over and how do you think she will "receive" them. You don't want to put her on the spot and have her think you are wanting her back....or do you? Touch call. Good Luck. Sorry about the whole mess.

but think of it this way Tony. She cared enough to do it before Christmas so he didnt have to spend money on a gift. My cousin got a present and a ski trip out of his gf before he dumped her. That was an ******* thing. I dotn know if she did it to be a ***** or did so she wouldnt take advantage but what the hell, why burn bridges.

true but why build bridges when nobody's gonna cross em? and if she cared to do it before he had to spend money on a gift, then she won't be expecting a gift, so there's no loss....only gain for another loved one when you can take the money and get them a cooler present.

I talked to her for the first time since Friday. She was giving this drawn out speech about me "playing" her and ****. I cut her off and told her to go **** herself and that I was through with her **** and hung the phone up. She just called back and wants to come over tonight and make-up and that she was sorry for not believing me to begin with. I tell ya, if you act like you don't give a **** in times like this, women just can't take it.

Yes, it's a trust issue. We had a big problem about two years ago that we worked through, but if she hears the right words from a source she thinks is credible, she thinks the worst.

"being on the rag"= jealousy derived from the envious observation that another individual is having sexual intercourse with MORE sheep then the individual subject him/herself.

sounds like you 2 shouldnt have been together anyways. if she doesnt trust you, and being 3 hours away... being with you has just got to send her mind into stress 24/7. that aint healthy. its prolly better that you 2 broke up. prolly be better to maybe get her a card for xmas saying merry xmas and best of wishes. thats it. dont get her a present. just a little something nothing. atleast thats what i would do.

Look at what you just wrote objectively and ask yourself... was it real love?

probably not if she trusts her friends more then you and takes their word over yours.
If your not upset then that shows that your feelings were not overwhelming for her either. Regardless im sorry you have to go through any ill feelings you might have and i hope it all works out dude,

ok, listen, its basically like this...someone once told me this when i was in my last relationship which EVERYONE KNEW would fail but me. YOU WONT LET IT GO UNTIL YOURE READY. If you still have feelings for this girl...you aren't going to let her go no matter how damned to hell your relatoinship is until youre good and ready. and its true. even if she breaks up with you, you're not going to let her go until youre ready. so in essence...no one knows the answer to ur relationship probs but you as far as what you should do.

Yea, that's howI take relationships. My high-school g/f broke up with me and it crushed me. Ever since then, I take it all in stride and if the girl starts acting ****ed up, I just take it in stride. Chasing a girl is the perfect way to make sure she never takes you back or she's just gonna play you till she gets tired of doing that.

that's it right there. i got no problem doing what it takes to make a relationship work. but a good relationship is not me putting in 80% and her putting in 20%. if we're not both wanting to make it happen then there's really no point in taking it seriously.
either become **** buddies, friends, both, or go your separate ways. only NEVER leave it in resentment.

that's the ideal sitch as far as i'm concerned.
