Yep. My g/f of four years has broken up with me. Her b-day is tomorrow along with Christmas being in three days. Should I give her the gifts I have for her or take them back and spend it selfishly on myself?

Should I give her the gifts I have for her or take them back and spend it selfishly on myself? Curly Howard 12-22-2003, 12:07 PM sorry man. depends on the reason for the break up i guess Allison 12-22-2003, 12:07 PM I hate to say it...but I told you that wouldn't work. Exotica 12-22-2003, 12:07 PM awwww, thats so sad :( 4 years is a really long time. if it was a 'good' break up and you two are still on pretty decent terms, i'd give'em to her. its such a pain to take stuff back anyway. but if it was pretty messy...**** it...i'd keep everything and give it to the next girl. Tha Playa 12-22-2003, 12:13 PM I don't know how to classify it. She just heard some bull**** from some of her other friends and believes it. We have been having some issues for a while now but were staying together because we had more good than bad thing going. I'm not really upset about it as it will be nice to be single again. It's just a shock to the system when we were talking about marriage not long ago and now I'm back in the hunt. Exotica 12-22-2003, 12:16 PM well as far as the marriage thing goes...look at it this way...its better to realize now that things wouldn't work than to go actually go through with it and get married and end up having to get divorced later on. Curly Howard 12-22-2003, 12:18 PM If it was me I'd give them to her. Yea, that's howI take relationships. My high-school g/f broke up with me and it crushed me. Ever since then, I take it all in stride and if the girl starts acting ****ed up, I just take it in stride. Chasing a girl is the perfect way to make sure she never takes you back or she's just gonna play you till she gets tired of doing that. Purity 12-23-2003, 11:13 AM that's it right there. i got no problem doing what it takes to make a relationship work. but a good relationship is not me putting in 80% and her putting in 20%. if we're not both wanting to make it happen then there's really no point in taking it seriously. either become **** buddies, friends, both, or go your separate ways. only NEVER leave it in resentment. that's the ideal sitch as far as i'm concerned.
