After the rematch with Hidehiko Yoshdia in New Year's Eve was decided, Royce Gracie broke the silence for the first time and predicted a bloodfestival sanction for Yoshida.

According to the interview on 19th, Royce got angry furiously with the previous match and said, "I was not caught by Yoshida's choke. I didn't faint. He showed as he caught me and told that I fainted. He is a liar. He is really a liar!"

O n 28th August, 2002 at National Stadium. where 91107 people were watching, Yoshida Hidehiko fought against Royce Gracie. 1R 7'24'', the referee stopped Royce not moving under Yoshida by his mystique "Sodeguruma".

1 year and 4 months passed. The fatality rematch is on with striking to the head which was ban in the previous fight. It will be a full vale tudo match. Royce demanded for "No time limit, no referee stop" and Yoshida accepted it. The marathon match was decided again from the legend match Sakuraba vs Royce in 2000.

The previous fight left grude. Yoshida affirmed with confidence, "I will choke him out or submit him. Anyway I will win clearly." And Royce said, "I want to see Yoshida's blood. I will make him pay for his lie.

Rules of the fight:

- The fight will be an MMA bout, done under regular PRIDE rules.
- The fight will consist of three 10 minute rounds.
- No Judges decision. If the fight goes the distance, then it will be declared a draw.
- The referee can only stop the fight if a fighter is knocked out cold.
- If a fighter is knocked down to the mat but still conscious, a 10-count will be given to the downed fighter.
- The referee cannot interfere in the middle of a submission attempt.

i've seen people say that and "is he out?"

my guess was its "is he out", that was the first thing i remember seeing then it changed its way to "he is out". if it was discussed long enough he would have been reciting shakespeare before it was over.

I was suprised by Yoshi's strength in the Grand Prix. I think that's a definite advantage he has over Royce.

The thing that pisses me off is that some other bjj guy should get the shot, i belive Royce will lose, how about Mario Sperry vs Yoshida.

The whole point is to settle the disputes and controversy from the last match. Any other BJJ player in this fight makes the whole reason it was made a match null and void.

Yoshida should take on Ryan or Ralph if he beats Royce.

yoshida would tear ralph apart. ryan would do the best against yoshida.
