MMAWeekly.com has learned that a proposed photo shoot for the UFC 47 poster has been canceled. The reason? Four fighters were contacted to do the poster, four contracts were sent out to these fighters....Tim Sylvia, Andre Arlovski, Chuck Liddell and Tito Ortiz.

Three of those contracts have been sent back to the Zuffa offices. Sylvia...signed, Arlovski.....signed, Liddell....signed, Ortiz....contract still missing.

It was believed that the Ortiz contract would be sent to Las Vegas by Thursday night. That deadline has come and gone. It's believed now that Zuffa will have no choice but to cancel the upcoming photo shoot for the poster because Ortiz hasn't signed.

So what if Ortiz gets the contract in today? That's the million dollar question. As of late last night nothing had been sent in or signed. The interesting part is on the underground forum, there was a thread wishing Chuck Liddell a happy birthday.

Ortiz himself jumped on that thread and said he would give the Iceman a birthday beating. Tito has been talking the talk, but as of yet hasn't walked the walk in signing the deal.

This is why I am not a fan of his.

This is his last chance, either this get's done by UFC 47 or I boycott any event with him in it.

This is just the photo shoot for the poster....its not the end of the world yet guys.

i don't know how people can possibly think tito is intimidated by chuck liddell of all people after he fought randy.

and that makes more sense. he mentioned having to get a cyst removed. obviously if he has a cast on, he cant train. if he can't train, he cant fight. its really very simple. regardless of what the fans want.... he aint the ****in LHW Champ no more, so expecting **** from him should just be put to a stop. Expect Randy to fight, expect Hughes to fight, expect Silvia to fight. Champions. Those are the only guys that should be expected to fight. Randy beat Chuck worse than he did Tito, there is no way in hell Tito could possibly be scared of Chuck. I personally think that Tito would win. Especially after watching how Rampage and Couture handled him... it would'nt be anything short from what Tito would do. Hes the 2nd best wrestler next to Randy and has the same stand up as Quinton.. which won him that fight against Liddell. Sure Quinton might have alot more KO power than Tito but their defense is the same.

Tito is the only fighter i know of that is expected so much from, yet nobody is a fan of his? he is'nt one of the hardest training fighters out there? "cardio man"? cmon now.

Yeah, he always says that Adam, but its been 3 years since he fought more than once a year. He was champion during that time and didn't do a lot. He was out with a serious knee injury for that year, but whats the excuse for the other two?

Honestly people have a good reason to not take what Tito says at face value. That being said, I belive he would eat Liddels breakfast.

Well, if Tito can't fight, then ****ing say so. Don't go on the underground and start **** by saying "I'll give Chuck a birthday beating" or **** like that. If Tito doesn't want Chuck next, then ****ing say so. Don't tell a reporter that "Chuck is definitely up next. He'll get his beating soon."

People just get tired of this kind of double talk. It doesn't look good for him, and he certainly isn't making a lot of fans this way.

honestly, i dont think he needs to present excuses. I dont see people questioning Vitor or Ricco Rodriguez when they left the seen and were'nt heard from for quite some time.

I had a cyst removed on my wrist, surgery, a mini cast, the whole 9 yards... could'nt do **** with it for a few weeks.

100% agreed.

i expect to see a thread soon about fedor ducking crocop. there are lots of people who already think so, pretty soon it will be common belief. tito ducking chuck is about as ridiculous if you think about it.

Yeah, does one really need a cast for a cyst removal? Was the cyst the size of a watermelon or something?

some have to keep a cast on for several weeks after the surgery.

no. there are so many different types of cysts. some dont have to be removed, normally those are the ones created by water. I had one created by water and it can be easily slapped with a book or pushed at and it will disappear for hours at a time. then of course there are the other ones where it requires surgery, depending on where it is and especially if it starts growing.
