I want to know what everyone here reads on a regular basis, or currently. Lately I’ve been reading a lot of texts regarding the bible codes, the NIV bible, as well as old books/ essays written about the mysteries of the bible and religion as a whole. Definitely some deep meaning as most of the answers form their base upon faith and nothing physical, as we as humans are used to.

I just started reading more, I read at least 1 book a month but try to read more.

I'm currently reading "LOTR - Return of the King" by J.R.R. Tolkein

Some of the books that I've read recently are:

"LOTR - The Two Towers" by J.R.R. Tolkein

"LOTR - Fellowship of the Ring" by J.R.R. Tolkein

"Little Evil: One Ultimate Fighter's Rise to the Top" By Jens Pulver with Erich Krauss

"Kurt Angle - It's True! It's True!" by Kurt Angle

"Brawl: A Behind-the-Scenes Look at Mixed Martial Arts Competition" by Erich Krauss and Bret Aita

"The Gracie Way" by Kid Peligro

"The Eyes of the Dragon" by Steven King

"Dinosaur Training" by Brooks Kubic

I also read alot more books on BJJ Technique, and weight training and dieting techniques/tips. I don't usually read these books from front to back, but here are a few of them that I've dabbled into.

"Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Theory and Technique" by Renzo and Royler Gracie

"Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Self-Defense Techniques" by Royce and Charles Gracie

"Passing the Guard vol.1: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Details and Techniques" by Ed Beneville and Tim Cartmell

"Optimum Physique" by Jamie Hale (check him out www.maxcondition.com)

"Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Submission Grappling" by Royler Gracie

"Mastering Ju-Jitsu" by Renzo Gracie

"Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt Techniques (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu series)" by JJ Machado and Kid Peligro

Once I finish the third LOTR book I plan on reading "The Beach House" by James Patterson. After that I think I'll pick up "Dune", which my father has been telling me to read for years. Then I'll read David Wells' biography, which I got a few chapters into but never finished. After that I plan on reading a few books lying around my house that I've never read before like "Eight Men Out" by Eliot Asinof and "Bunts" by George Will. Then I'll reread "The Hobbit" cuz it ****en owns. I also plan on picking up some more James Patterson **** if he's as good as I hear he is.

Besides my magazines, I have been reading the lord of the rings books. I was looking for a book I seen in Maxim, they had a special where they printed the first chapter of a few new books coming out. The one I am looking for is called Odd Thomas. Looks pretty good......

Lots of magazines.

Any book by R.A. Salvatore. He has a new book I'm waiting to go to paperback.

Self help, meditation, finding yourself types of books to. I love those.

Haven't been reading enough lately. I try to read one book a month at least but I've been seriously slacking lately.

Damn!! i hate these kind of books (finding yourself, self help...) Zen, perhaps because I read one that I didn't finsh because it said how I had to be, I thing these books (well, soe of these books) steal part of our personality.

Zen, try to get this book "The Reality Dance" of Alexandro Jodorowsky, I'm sure you would like it...

Currently, I'm reading "From a Buick 8" by Stephen King. I'm a big King fan. I've got all his books except for two of them; Cycle of the Werewolf, which is like 30 bucks and is about 150 pages long. It has pictures, so I guess that's where the price comes from, and Dark Tower V: Wolves of the Caila. I'm way too cheap to buy it in hardcover, so I'll wait for the paperback.

Crystalline Dream

Train- Pete Dexter
Heartbeat- Danielle Steele or whatever the **** her name is.
Violin - Anne Rice.... I was reading this but I couldn't finish it, I thought it sucked so bad.
The Diligent- it's a non-fiction about the slave trade long ago
Build me an ark- a non-fiction book about different animals

For every fiction book I read, (and I love to read) I try to read a non-fiction. It balances my reading time between entertainment and education

I guess I should have said spirituality instead of self help. I think it's all related though. I'm loco and always trying to find a way to relax myself, and keep my life moving in a positive direction.

I'll definitely check out the book you recommended.

No dout, after "listen" your words ("I'm loco and always...") I'm sure yo'll like this book, remember that Alexandro Jodorowsky is the director of "El Topo" (The Mole), the greatest lisergic film never made...

I finally finished my book. It only took me a month. I usually read a book from beginning to end in just a day or two. No time and that is one thing I really really really really miss. Reading.

I just finished the Life of Christ. Very good book; the timing is perfect seeing as how my bible study just started this topic.

Also recently finished The Purpose Driven Life; of which I recommend to everyone I meet.

This could just be the dumbest question, but, what does NIV mean?

The Mouse

New International Version... It's the version that's translated into the American way of speaking, thus forging you the easiest way of understanding each sentence.
