delegated son to the garage instead of my sewing room. I tried to go out and work in there, it's too cold. My hands are like ice in a matter of minutes....and it's not that cold outside right now. I did block off the doggie door that the dog keeps tearing thru. (he's too big for it and wrecks it everytime he tries to use it)

I am currently drinking hot chocolate to warm me up before I venture out there again. I have to get some sewing done, dang it!

It's really not winter here yet. It's only been fall like weather. The leaves are still falling off the trees. They are goregous in color right now. I just want a somewhat warm garage to work in.

You need one of those portable heaters. I bought one a few months back and use it for when I'm out in the garage aswell.

I have one, it just doesn't work well enought to keep me warm. It's an old radiator style one. It doesn't emit very well like the one I saw at Costco the other day. I need to check the prices and just go get one. The one I have is just not working well at all.

Can't beat Costco's prices, especially on those heaters.

I suck at sewing. I guess it's because I never do it. My boyfriend's mom makes some awesome quilts. I'd like to be able to do something like that.

I've been sewing since I was eleven. I love it and it has come in handy when the kids were little and we were poor. I could make them some really nice dresses for special occassions for a fraction of the cost. Now it's a necessity since my eldest daughter is 6 ft tall with a 36" inseam. Impossible to find affordable clothes for her.
