yep, mma sucks, ****s too gruesome and could **** you up for life
i've broken both arms and both legs, im not a fan of broken bones, seriously is uncalled for
Brute Allmighty 12-14-2008, 02:52 PM for the leg kick was just freak accident. But the arm bar breakage was simpley from being stubborn and bullheaded he should've tapped. Along with the fact that was what the guy always wanted to do. Didn't seem to try for the tap out kinda seems as though he went for broke literally. I thought the guy from wec was a good fighter but to want to break bones is just not right. I fell out of a tree when I was a kid and brok my elbow it popped out of join and was pushing not through the skin but you could see it pushing against it. Those are the injurys that stay with you. The ones in the joints.
deemo 12-14-2008, 04:05 PM i would rather have these kinds of injuries instead of head trauma or even worse death. now i am a bigger fan of boxing but lets be real mma has never cost anyone there life yet. and so far no head injuries that i know of.so i think it is a safer sport than boxing.

It costed one inadvertently.

There was a death in Texas a little while back, but by and large i'd have to say boxing is a much more dangerous sport. Also, usually guys opt to tap rather then having their limbs dislodged.
paul750 12-14-2008, 04:32 PM The Hill fellow is supposed to be like 6'4'' and 155lbs? Seems far too big to be fighting at that weight.
Brute Allmighty 12-14-2008, 07:47 PM what does that really have to do with the injury. IMO if he was bigger and stronger with more power it would probably break easier with this guys. Some people just don't have the bone thickness and structure for certain things maybe like some kinda calcium defeciency.
sunthunder 12-14-2008, 08:03 PM I would concur with the people saying that injuries like this are not that bad compared to bad knockouts. I mean no one's gonna die from not tapping to an armbar, or breaking a leg. They look nasty, and put you on the sidelines for a while, but they are not a serious threat to your life.
When someone gets brutally knocked out, there's always a chance they might not get up. In my mind things like Crocop getting ko'd by Gonzaga are worse than this. There was one knockout in Cage Rage where one fighter was convulsing badly after a knockout, again, much scarier than this.
paul750 12-14-2008, 08:09 PM Well he's not giving himself much of a chance by being at that weight. Perhaps it would have broken anyway. But he surely mustn't be getting his optimal nourishment. Even if he walks around much bigger, the constant boiling down will weaken him. Size does matter sometimes: I remember reading about a powerlifter getting a huge beating by a gang with pickax handles and all sorts. The doctors said only for his huge bulk, he would have been dead. Not quite the same thing, but like I said, size can matter.
Brute Allmighty 12-14-2008, 08:21 PM I can see your point. If he bulked up and with proper nutrition should be less of a chance.I guess I was just thinking of him being heavier not really the nutritional side of things as well as more muscle mass. It would deff have to be stuff like that and not just like some fighters do and just get bigger by fat like my self lol and not bigger by proper nutrition and muscle building. Good point.

yeah, after looking at it again from that angle, his face doesnt show any pain which is weird.

People usually don't really feel pain in the heat of a fight.
JabSandwich 12-14-2008, 10:37 PM Hill's body prolly went into shock and there was prolly a lot of adrenaline in his system. and apparently Al-Hassan didn't break his arm, jus dislocated his elbow...stubborn retard should have tapped.
