Thats all i can think of, but a large portion of food is processed, not easy to get around. sukhenkoy 12-12-2008, 03:35 PM To me its basically anything that doesn't just have natural ingredients under "Ingredients". If you see some chemistry jargon under the Ingredients, chances are its processed. Its not too hard to stay away from processed foods. Just eat more fruits and vegetables. Noy 12-12-2008, 04:17 PM things that come in a can or a bag that says "chips" on them. the hype about organic foods is actually true. processed foods are the reason why girls now menstruate at age 9, kids are fat as hell, and why we have so many diseases and mental conditions these days. Landon S 12-12-2008, 04:35 PM If you can't pull it out of the ground or kick it to death, its probably processed. Spot on! eatign natural foods is not as hard as people think. Most of your diet should be fruit, veg and salad with grilled fish and chicken for your protein. Most deli's will have these already marinates. It is best to make your own marinade out of garlic, onions,masala/spices, herbs, lemon juice anmd olive oild. Stick it in a blender and you have a weeks worth of marinade to keep in fridge. Marinade the chicken/fish the night before, and George Foreman it at lunch and dinner! The odd steak or skewered diced lamb wouldn't do you no harm either, and will probably need no added flavouring! It will give you iron and it tastes good. Ingredients: whole grain rolled oats, sugar, canola oil, crisp rice (rice, flour, sugar, malt, salt), soy protein, honey, brown sugar syrup, high fructose corn syrup, salt, soy lecithin, baking soda, natural flavor, almond flour, peanut flour,. Contains soy, almond and peanut ingredients. ------- I'm not sure if that would be considered processed or not, but that brand is certainly a lot better than others. There's no crazy hard to pronounce chemicals in it. There's no crazy hard to pronounce chemicals in it. you're right. it is not as bad as other stuff out there and may be OK for people who just want to stay reasonably healthy. I am extremely dedicated to gym and I would not have it because the canola oil is most likely refined, and so are all the sugars and fructose used in it. Most of it is oats, but this cereal bar can easily be replaced as a snack my an all natural homemade oats bar using oats, sultanas, nuts and organic maple syrup and honey. Either that or one whole organic banana. They are cheaper than you think, when you compare them to other snacks! mishka80 12-12-2008, 08:18 PM wonder bread (YUCK!!!!) DJ QUIK 12-14-2008, 03:39 PM Peanut butter Are you serious? not natural peanut putter but **** like jiff is processed. it has hydrogenized oils and mono digylecerides. get natural peanut butter. it should have nothing more than peanuts, peanut oil salt and sugar I3C727 12-15-2008, 01:58 AM not natural peanut putter but **** like jiff is processed. it has hydrogenized oils and mono digylecerides. get natural peanut butter. it should have nothing more than peanuts, peanut oil salt and sugar yes that is true, assuming you care about what you eat you should be buying natural peanut butter anyway. Landon S 12-15-2008, 01:50 PM About the nature valley bars. They have high fructose corn syrup (same thing u put on waffles or pancakes). VERY processed, but other than that they seem good, Ive eaten them myself. You'll have a hard time finding snack foods in a regular supermarket that arent at least a little bit processed. As long as your diet is 90% good, a little processed stuff wont hurt you alot in terms of health or weight, you cant live being terrified of processed food. Im a sucker for sour candies (like sour keys) but I only eat them like once every 2 months. They always give me a sugar high lol DJ QUIK 12-15-2008, 02:03 PM About the nature valley bars.
