Believe it or not, but rigorous training which involves a high rate of cardio is good for asthma. It's all mental. I've had asthma my whole life, but i'm really athletic. Martial arts, soccer, running, boxing. It's aiite. D.C. 12-12-2008, 04:23 PM Eat an apple a day. Selenium helps to control asthma. Aside from that, the better your cardio? I have serious asthma that is luckily only brought on from viruses. So if i get a common cold im out for at least 5 weeks. Exercise makes it much worse, not better. I love Boxing, I love training and I love pushing myself. But having my cardio fitness reset every few months is very hard, that and my right hand is destroyed. I try and keep Boxing a little bit during my periods of asthma but It is extremely hard to push yourself.
