I am moving to Des Moines, Iowa in the next three weeks and plan on beginning to learn how to box. I have found the Westside Boxing Club and Roundkick Gym but I don't know anything about them really. Westside is more of a traditional Boxing Gym and Roundkick is more a MMA gym.

Anyone have any info on either? memberships? rep?

go to the traditional boxing gym, those mma gyms are just full of energy drink swilling meatheads who wear those stupid designer t-shirts, are covered in tatoos and roll around on the wrestling mats

the boxing gym is where you will find real men who fight properly

Thanks for the suggestion. I was leaning on going there myself, because if I want to learn anything other than Boxing, I would go to a BJJ school.

I will give them a call in the morning and head over the day after I get there to check it out.
