Hey guys, I've been busy sketching my ass off since finishing uni - I'm applying for an artist job with a local computer game studio (Ratbag Studios - www.ratbaggames.com) and I want to put together a professional looking portfolio so I have a better chance of getting a job there.

They are looking for people with degrees in industrial design, or visual communication - of which I have neither, so I'll probably be up against some pretty stiff competition.

The company specialises in racing games...actually, thats all they make, so I guess I have to submit at least a few pieces of art to do with vehicles. I've NEVER done any car drawings before, I prefer to do character designs and stuff like that, so I've been spending the last few days drawing cars non-stop. I decided I don't really want to go to all the trouble of designing a car from concept, so I used an existing car - in the Dodge Viper, and did a concept style piece just to demonstrate that I have a grasp of Photoshop (I also did the pen and marker sketch).

If you have any critiques, please voice them - I want to produce an A1 portfolio for their consideration, this is my first piece (I'll also throw in a few of my better character designs I guess).

The body looks like its an acutal picture in the colored pic MM, good stuff.....

pretty cool mm. kinda looks like a cross between a ferrari modena and a viper. got any other angles?

Ratbag makes some of my favorite game.... Dirt track racing WOO etc...
anyway with your talent and imagination I'm sure you'll end up working somewhere that will put it to good use.
