View Full Version : What was so special about today?
realkaps 12-12-2003, 09:37 PM No mexicans came to work today, well they came, but they just stood in the parkinglot telling other mexicans not to work today. So there was a grand total of 10 people in the yard. Someone told me that it was a holiday in Mexico, the "Virgin" Mary's birthday or somthing. I dont think they should get that day off, I mean, if I worked in Mexico I wouldnt expect them to give me the 4th of july off. Then someone told me it was about Arnold repealing the drivers license's for illegal immagrants law. Which I agree with, because people who are illegally in this country dont need drivers licenses. The ****ed up thing is there is going to be no disiplanary action too all the people who didnt work. If I would of pulled that **** I would of got sent home the next day with no pay.......

well there ya go. their whole arguement is that if they can't have their way then they'll just **** up the economy enough until they GET their way. well that's great.
so if mommy won't give her lil 5 year old the cookie then he'll just scream in tantrums until she gives in. is that how it's supposed to work? most of us don't raise children that way because the real world doesn't cater to such childish acts.
yeah so if i can't play then i'm taking MY ball and going home. if i can't have fun then i'll at least get satisfaction by ruining it for the rest of you. you know who else uses these same tactics? terrorists and ****blockers!
these ****ers are guests in our country. they are living a 100 times better life then if they were still in mexico, chillin with 3 legged dogs, drinking mud for water, and huddling under cardboard roofs. so now that they've been given the life, what do they do?? exploit and abuse the very system that rescued them. how ****ing mature.
and why?? because they were denied something that they never had (nor deserved) from the start. man, at least the grocery store mooches were stripped of something they had originally! and i KNEW those picketing ******s were gonna set an example of acting like a dip**** to get your way. NOW look what we got!!
and the form of protest is so ****ing FUNNY!! that's like me cutting my own dick off because some girl refuses to suck it! yeah, i'll show her!!!
Purity 12-13-2003, 03:16 PM now if this lame **** keeps up, here's what's gonna happen:
these emmy award winners will end up driving themselves right back to the same level of poverty that they had in mexico. except that it will be on our own soil. instead of coming to OUR land to give themselves a good life, they will end up turning OUR land into ****ty mexico land....accomplishing nothing for themselves but ruining it for the rest of us.
but that probably won't happen because they'll end up finding a great way to take advantage of the welfare system so once again, the working taxpayer will bail them out. nobody wins.
man i hate people.
realkaps 12-13-2003, 06:14 PM Alot of them just come work here over the summer, save there money and live comfortably in mexico for the winter. Non tax payers like feild workers and such want licenses. **** that.....
Purity 12-13-2003, 06:35 PM and what ****ing good is a license gonna do for them anywayz??? if they're driving illegally then they're already driving! they're just butt-hurt that they're getting denied insta-citizenship.
Fallout 12-13-2003, 06:57 PM I would of thought it would be illegal for an illegal alien to have a licence period. This used to happen? People that were here illegaly were given licences?
realkaps 12-13-2003, 09:03 PM I dont get it either Creed. And these ****ers complain about it. I say we let them have there licesnese, then whenever they go to the DMV to get them, we have border patrol posing as dmv employes waiting to take them back......

Blame that on former Governor Grey Davis.
That 'tard made more than his share of decisions which made no sense to anyone.
Mexicans out here really do seem to get some sort of preferrential treatment. Even illegal immigrant Mexicans get better treatment that illegal immigrants from other countries. It's almost like a joke (well the subject of several from what I can tell) but still, it needs to be taken very seriously. The only reason I think it hasn't been is that Mexicans represent such a large demographic, especially in California, things could get real ugly if they tried (I'm thinking LA Riots all over again).
Tony's argument is EXTREMELY valid. Not only is it a childish but these people are damaging the economy by not paying taxes and not paying to support the very system they are sponguing off. Working or not, they're not paying taxes which provide for the armed forces which defend the country, police, fire, ambulance, emergency services, etc. etc. So yes, contrary to what anyone says, THAT is sponguing and it WILL **** the country up, long term if enough people keep abusing the system like they are - and it WILL reduce the country to a lower living standard.
The only Mexicans I can see complaining about the drivers license issue are the ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS. I can't envision too many hardworking, LEGITIMATE immigrants arguing about it. If they do, they're retarded as well.

realkaps 12-13-2003, 09:43 PM Dogg argues for them, but you took care of that in your last sentance. They dont pay the taxes to fix and build roads, they dont belong on them......
Purity 12-13-2003, 09:49 PM i think this really boils down to the masses not having enough to complain about.
people need negativity in there lives. when not given enough, people will seek it out. without it then there's almost nothing to fight for and people need to fight for something because struggle and hope for victory helps give people a sense of purpose.
obviously the license cause is horse**** but it gives these people something to do and it makes em feel special.

That's exactly it.
If you don't pay taxes on your salary, then you are not contributing.
If you minimise your deductions through savvy accounting and a business, then your business is doing it's part to provide for society and the economy anyway. And there is nothing an illegal immigrant working a cash in hand job can say to justify their lying, bottom feeding ways.
If they have legitimate grounds to immigrate, then do so. If they do immigrate, then contribute. Pay your ****ing taxes. If they become a citizen, then vote too. Sign up for military service. Whatever. They need to contribute to the very society they take advantage of and take for granted.
No bleeding heart stories about doing your part, mopping floors because nobody else wants to. If you're not part of the solution, you are part of the problem. If you're part of the problem, then you need to go back to your own country.

i agree but only to an extent. if you aren't paying your taxes then it's not that you aren't contributing......just not FULLY contributing.
BUT if you are making money from a job then you are still contributing by:
1. providing a service that will benefit consumers some way or another
2. providing a service that helps a company grow; the company can then get bigger, create more jobs, and pump more money into the economy.
3. making money and spending it, therefore pumping more money into the economy.
plus, illegals DO provide something in the workforce that very few want to provide....they take all the **** jobs. they work hard and get paid dick for it. seems kinda unfair on the surface BUT it IS a fair tradeoff considering that your life was much ****tier in mexico and you ARE illegal. anytime you do something illegal then you have to assume consequence.
...kinda like if a drug dealer gets locked up once he's caught.
but this whole protest is ****ing silly. it's like our drug dealer refusing to eat in jail cause the food's so ****ty. doesn't accomplish anything but screwing up the protestor and making him look like a jackass.

Sticking feathers up your butt does not make you a chicken.
Likewise, working a job does not necessitate that you are evenly contributing.
The minimum that an average person can be expected to do to contribute, in any democratic society is:
- work
- pay taxes
- vote
- do jury duty (as required)
- serve your country (if conscripted to do so)
Some might go above and beyond that by:
- enlisting in core services such as armed forces, police, reserves, fire brigade, etc
- donating to charities
- volunteer work
An illegal immigrant does not do even the minimum and basically does not evenly contribute to the fundamentals of a society.
Yet they expect to exploit that society for their own immediate gain. So it then falls to others who do provide to pay for the shortfalls. In other words, those who are a part of the system WILL pay (one way or another) for those who do not!
Sorry, but this is flat out wrong and does a disservice to every immigrant who applies for immigration legally. ESPECIALLY those from war torn countries applying for asylum.
These illegals - irrespective of their prior living conditions in their own country (regardless of how unfortunate it may/may not be) does not make them an exception to everyone else that has had to go through the immigration system.

dude i totally agree with you about why it's wrong to not pay taxes or even come into this country illegally. all i was saying is that there are some pros out of the whole illegal immigrant thing. OBVIOUSLY not as much pros as there would be if they were legal and paying taxes but they still do take our **** jobs. they take the low pay which helps out the employers more.
a lot of those people end up becoming citizens after a while too.
i just think they are in absolutely no position of protest.

Fallout 12-13-2003, 10:37 PM I think the majority of people that protest are idiots to begin with. People that protest against animal testing are morons. I am sorry but if hooking a rabbit up to a car battery is going to save someone from dying of aids in 5 years, do it. If testing on a monkey is going to make sure that no one gets brain cancer from a new shampoo thats coming out, scrub away.
The majority of people that protest against things like globalization and free trade are idiots because they are only protesting for the sake of protesting. The majority of them ethier a) don't understand or b) don't give a **** about the cause they are protesting for or against.
In Ontario there was a major protest by a group that wanted the goverment to spend more on building affordable housing (a very worthy cause IMO). The y ended up causing a riot and injuring several police officers with bricks, rocks and ball barings. As someone that was on walfare at one point and living in affordable housing at the time, I was ashamed these people were reperesenting me.
There are some good reasos to protest (strikes are a good reason, although I know a lot of people on this forum disagree with me on that point) but the majority of protestors don't know **** about ****. Much less illegal protestors. If someone opened fire with rubber bullets and pepper spray into the crowd, I wouldn't shed a single tear. Quite the opposite, I would be one of the first to cheer
The Jake 12-13-2003, 10:41 PM Globalisation is a good thing but there needs to be some VERY strong controls in check to prevent exploitation.

Purity 12-13-2003, 10:44 PM which all roots back to my initial statement of why most people engage in protesting.

It is a good thing if we have a safey net to make sure people don't get left behind. Free health care, free education and affordable housing for lower income familys. As long as we have those basics in place and make sure people that the oppertunity to pull themselves up from that, then it IS a good thing.
Unfortuanty, counries that do have thoses basics in place (europe mainly) aren't really in favor of it, and the countrys that are (Canada, America ect.) ethier don't have any of that, or are slowly selling them off.
The Jake 12-13-2003, 10:50 PM Astro and I once got a great view of a protest gone horribly wrong. Since then we developed a very low level of respect for protestors. EDIT: Actually, a healthy amount of contempt is probably a better way to put it (When you have to consider bringing weapons just so you can get to work to do your job, you have a problem).
At least the **** knuckle antagonists that run these events in Australia.
