Nintendo always produces quality consoles, though I think they've abandoned the audience that grew up with them with the Wii. At least that's how I feel anyway, that they're targeting more and more grandmothers with casual pick up and play type games that really aren't that much fun. (Wii sports, Wii Fit, etc...)

My take on both of those systems are exactly the same, and I think I said this about the Cube last night.....

There's not many stellar titles on either console, but the ones that are, are exclusive titles, and those alone are worth buying the system for.

Cube has the RE series, the MGS remake, Wind Waker (though I hated the art style it was still fun), Twilight Princess, and Double Dash.

N64 had Goldeneye, Ocarina of Time, Banjo Kazooie, Mario kart 64, Super Mario 64, etc....

I remember when N64 came out and you had to use the analog stick instead of the arrows to move. That **** was hard as **** to master! But Mario 64 was the ****in ****. It took a while to beat that ****. We would play all ****in day as soon as school got out. And smokin weed while playin MarioKart 64 on rainbow road was trippy as ****. We always had some good battle modes goin down too.

Battle mode is where it's at, son. 3 balloons seperate you from glory or humiliation.

The ****ed turtle shell was the best, it'd go right for the guy in #1 and take out eveybody in it's way.

No Mercy was the ****. I hated the glitch though that would erase all the **** you unlocked.

I used to hack new matches and weapons and arenas and crap for it with the gameshark over on a few old hacking boards like "Hackers hideout" and crap.

Multiplayer on that game was epic, and I wasn't even a fan of wrestling that much, it was just insanely fun.

Super Mario sunshine and resident evil remake. were the only decent games on the Gamecube. and maybe eternal darkness. was a nice cheap console though

I hated "Super Mario Sunshine".

"Twilight Princess" gets my nod for best Gamecube title out there. It's the best in the series since "A Link to the Past" on the SNES, it's even better than "Ocarina of Time", which many of us thought would be impossible to top.

yea tecmo when it shows a nice close up view when doing a good move like german suplex.. all tecmo games on nes were great for that... back then those seemed like amazing graphics when it would cut to an action view like that

I'm going to be buying more SNES titles over the course of the next few months.

I have nearly every title I loved as a child (and still love as an adult), but there's a few other really good, to semi-decent ones I played when I was a tyke that I still need.

Maximum Carnage was a badass beat-em up I thought, I need that one.

I need that ****ty Adam's Family game where you're Gomez and you can fly around with the propellar hat. For some reason, I loved it as a kid. I know it won't be as fun now that I'm a critic and all, but I'll gladly shell out $5 for it.

The Flintstones game was cool from what I remember.

I need "Final Fight 2" to complete the trilogy, I already own 1 and 3.

The Ninja Turtles fighting game was sweet, "Tournament Fighters". I need that one.

I need "Kirby : Superstar" as well.

I'm also keeping an eye out for collectibles and rare titles like the Ninja Gaiden Trilogy, etc.....

I'm browsing Amazon right now for SNES titles, and I really feel pretty lucky to have gotten some of the titles I have for the prices I did.

Ebay and Hammersnipe is a winning combination.

I can always count on you to stir up some old school gamin Bringer. The last time you got me on this **** it lasted about 2 months. Think you done started sumthin again homey. :beerchug:

I think I started something on myself as well.

I need more SNES titles.

And I gotta buy another N64......

Looks like another summer of Retro for me.

I love collecting ****, video games obviously being my choice. DVDs are nice also. But games first.

Yo Mangler, you can download ZSNES man. Google that ****, it's the best SNES emulator out there.

You could be playing some SNES games in about 6 minutes flat.

There's also some solid Genesis emulators, and if you have a pretty decent set up, you can get nice N64, Dreamcast, PS2, and Xbox emulators as well.

Ill put my list on here eventually... its huge.

Looking forward to it. :fing02:

I need a lot more, I've got like 40 cartridges. I'd like to get to about 80 or 100 before I'm finished with it.

My PS2 collection is about the same size, I think I've got 50 PS2 games. And I'm aiming for 100 there also.

In terms of size, my PS2 collection is the biggest, followed by my SNES collection. My Gamecube collection is pitiful, but honestly there aren't many titles on that console worth owning. I need to get an N64 collection going.

My NES collection is like....10 games I think.

Ultimately I want about 50-100 games for every solid console of the last 20 years or so.

I'm thinking of opening my own video game retail place, kinda like Gamestop, only with better trade in values, and also with a large variety of retro **** as well.

Games are cheap as hell if you know how to shop for them. Flea Markets and Ebay are the best places to look, you gotta buy in lots for a business setup, and that's what I'm looking to do.

I'm just hesitant because I've never been in business for myself before, plus I'm not that financially capable of doing it right now.

Then there's the question of whether or not to have an actual storefront, or just sell and trade online.

It's something I find very interesting and will likely pursue a bit in the future.

I'd like to have an actual front though, and maybe do online stuff too. Nothing beats talking to your customers in the flesh, or at least my old school ass thinks so.

I wouldn't want to rip anybody off, Gamestop is such a ripoff it's pitiful. I think people would really accept an alternative, if I could get set up.

And who doesn't want some retro in their lives as well? :)
