Fish oil contains Omega-3. However, alot of the cheap Fish oil / Omega-3's have mercury in them. You're body when it takes in the anti-oxidant from Omega-3's it has to convert it's structure. Most of your Omega-3's contain triglyceride, and your body wont accept it in that form. So it converts it into a form that your body will accept, which is the phospholipid form. Doing this loses alot of the potency. You should look up Krill Oil. I use to works for a company that sold a product called Bio-Krill. Krill oil is from a crustaceans in the northern atlantics. It also contains no mercury levels. Most of all, this is the form that your body accepts, so it goes straight into your system and gets to work much faster, and it is much more potent then regular Omega-3's The Omega-3 anti-oxidant is very good for your circulatory system, lowing bad cholestoral and raising the good, and very good for your heart overall. As far as helping with weight loss, it helps some. But there are much better things out there more directed towards weight loss then Omega-3 Hope this helps. I worked for this company for a while so I know alot about anti-oxidants and what not. I don't work for them anymore, so this is far from a sales pitch, even though it may sound like it =) kenny91 12-09-2008, 06:07 AM dude just cut back on carbs.. fish oils n omega 3 are good so sea foods.. do more cardio work than any weight work u do which u should cut back on. sorted.. just work off fat through runnin n avoid too many carbs. oh n strictly no chocolate n sweets or anythin like that til ur satisfied with ur weight. now im no nutrition expert but its pretty logical. hope ive helped somewhat. later dude :) D.C. 12-10-2008, 02:28 AM in my opinion the omega-3 stuff and the fish oil are kinda garbage but idk ive never tried it Well then, you have no idea what you're talking about. Fish Oil is one of the most beneficial supplements you can take, if not the most beneficial. |
