I didn’t want to post this in G-Man’s thread because it didn’t really make me cry, however it was quite moving. If any of you haven’t seen this yet, I strongly recommend it. I was expecting to walk into this movie and be entertained with another action-thriller; instead I got a gripping drama about the history of the Samurai that left me with great respect for history that is usually forgotten about. Anyone here seen it yet?

I saw it and liked, I think Cruise should have died in that last battle scene though. ****in' Cruise never gets killed.

It would of been cool if he killed that fat shogun and then got shot like 20 more times

He couldn’t have died. He was the last one that could have changed the mind of the emperor about forming an alliance with the U.S. To show that a white man could have changed the mind of an emperor like that and moved him so much to do so, truly tied the ending up nicely.
