From http://www.fightsport.com/fsport/jsp/index.jsp

In a shocking Fightsport.com exclusive, this reporter can be the first to reveal of an intoxicated Tito Ortiz crashing his Cadillac Escalade into a light pole! As my source inside the Zuffa organization explained, Ortiz was well past the legal limit of intoxication when he wrecked his expensive SUV.

Even worse, the local police let Ortiz off without filing any charges because of who he was. It seems that the fame and reputation of being the reluctant former Ultimate Fighting Champion saved Ortiz from any sort of legal trouble.

As I was told by my source in Zuffa, recently Tito has been drinking more lately, far beyond his previous habits. This is understandable, as the loss to Randy Couture was certainly very psychogically damaging. Tito has also seen many people who he once considered as friends turn their backs on him since Tito's loss, including seeing his once relatively large fanbase evaporating.

When I read this I immediatly thought of him calling Vitor mentally weak. His words almost always bite him in the ass.

stories ALWAYS get fabricated. its funny to read this coz all the times i see tito out in downtown HB, he is NEVER drinking. regardless with this accident, he is no drunk, and never really has been. this article/ write up is making tito sound like he is a drinker and always has been and has a problem with it now because of randy couture. who the **** is this writter to say all this? he obviously aint tito, nor a friend of his, nor someone that even knows him. all i got from that speach was "i heard this" "i heard that" "my sources at Zuffa said this" ..... sounds like someone yappin about something that other people said. now we're gonna pick up on these rumors and fabricate em as well huh? its fabrications like these that make the sport and the fighters look bad. i hope the man who wrote this falls on his own feet and suffers extreme head trama. die, cunTbaG!

i'm sure you all will just believe what you read, so no need to try and state otherwise. take it for what its worth.

carry on....

i don't really believe it, especially the last part about how tito has been drinking more.

he may have wrecked his escalade drunk but i'm willing to bet he wasn't "well past" the legal limit. i bet that last part is a lie too.

I'm not 100% on it either but some of it must be true to make their news. The thing that bugs me is he "wrecked" his car on a lightpost. That lightpost must be f*cked but the cops still let him off, nevermind the dui? Seems wierd.

i had a friend who wrecked into a lightpole once... the state charged his insurance more for the lightpole replacement than it cost to total his car.

you guys have to realize that FightSport makes **** up... the crash part is probably true but the part about being drunk is probably all made up

It's a rumor until we see the police report and hear Tito's side of the story.

aside from all this... HB Police don't let **** like this go. I should know, aside from living there, i've recieved... literally.... 7 tickets in the last month. also, there is no way in hell that a light pole got ran right into by a ****ing cadi escalade and no repercussion.

complete bull****.

if someone can get me the writer's contact info (email, cell, anything...), let me know what it is. thanks.

dont you have to get a police report to claim it on your insurance? something would have had to be reported for tito if he got in a wreck.

Tito should moderate his alcohol consumption, he was drunk when he crashed into Murray's fist as well.
